Don't seam to find a topic for that but will it be possible for several bucks extra?
I highly doubt it. Witcher 3 on Humble also comes only with a GOG key.
I know that you only get a gog version of the game. But from what I know, it's not really expensive (if costs anything at all) to get the keys so it would be cool if they add this feature
They would lose the money from a separate Steam purchase.

More importantly, Steam would expect to be paid.

What's with this nonsense of wanting to have the game on both GOG and Steam for the same price? CHOOSE

If CDPR did this, Valve would reject the request. Unless the keys are sold at full price, or sales on steam also got a gog key, they would be disadvantaging steam clients, exactly what the rules says you shouldn't do.

That being said, if Valve had any sense of opportunity whatsoever, they would work out a deal with CDPR so sales on either platform gets keys on both. Since gog can do this via gog connect for steam sales, and send the steam key for gog sales, all the administrative weight of this would fall on CDPR. And since steam seems to have better regional pricing on most of the planet, they would still get the bulk of the sales going thru steam. *And* manage to screw Epic in the process as a bonus.

To what Matiasdu said (hola paisano), which relates to this particular (and quite obvious) point:
Steam keys shouldn't be given away for free if you aren't also offering the same deal (i.e., give the game away for free) to Steam customers.
I only add that it can only be through an economic deal involving CDPR and Valve that something like the OP asks could be done (I didn't need to read the above info to know that). And who would pay for the costs of that deal? The consumer.

I'm not paying for anyone to have the game on both platforms, that's for sure. If a game offers such a thing (2 for 1 on platforms), and you do not want to use that second platform, you are paying extra for others to do so with your money.

It gets tiresome to have to spell out things like these.

Going to the particulars of the case of having "free" keys on Steam for redeeming on GOG and viceversa, that would certainly destroy GOG sales of the game on large areas of the world, and maybe even their userbase in the long run, for the same reason Valve would agree to it: regional pricing. In this case it would be GOG that would not accept.
that would be great though. i am also on same boat.i actually want this game on steam, but 30% is too much. and that cover on main page where it says "100% of your money goes to cd projekt group" is not helping :( it is guilt tripping :(

I'm sorry to hear you're tired of explaining stuff like this to people like me

it's a pity though no one seems to hear what I say

I don't ask for a free key to start with
I don't want anybody to pay for me
All the extra keys could be regarded as advertisement for Steam and/or Gog (depending on which platform we are buying the product to start with) and can cost nothing for people who don't want the extra key

But never mind. I'd rather offer to close the thread as obviously this discussion is pointless

I get what you mean but there is a small problem. The problem is called key reseller. If they would offer a deal Steam key + gog key for basic price + steam fee, a lot of people would buy that and offer one or even both keys on key resellers like G2A. They could offer the key for a little bit more than half price and a lot of poeple would buy this keys instead of buying them on Steam or gog. Neither steam nor CDPR want that.

As you see its not that easy.

true, that can be a problem
