AmijaDG: The game does not even start up. I click 'play' it says syncing for a few seconds then nothing happens. I've tried turning off the GoG overlay, Turned off antivirus. Tried running as admin from bin still nothing.

Windows 7 SP1
I5 4670
EVGA GTX 1060 6gb
16 gigs DDr3
Net Framework 4.8

Anything I need to get the game to launch? Any help is much appreciated.

Did anyone face the same launch issue with EventType=REDEngineErrorReport in report?

Lucky ! ;)
I have a similar but with a different archive file. Looking in the crash report I see...

Message: Failed to load archive G:\GOGLibrary\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\content\basegame_4_animation.archive, error 1, try regenerating archives!

For me the file is there, but I guess corrupt or out of date for some reason. I clicked the verify button in gog and as a result its now downloading 19GB. Hopefully this fixes it but it will be a while on my internet before I can try.

I am wondering if GOG does not manage reconciling a current download when a new patch / hotfix is pushed out mid download.

Update: Clicking the verify button in GOG forcing it to update did resolve the reported issue. I'm now two hours in and loving this game!

Also feced it, but found nothing yet. Hope this thread changes something for us!
I faced with
Message: Failed to load archive C:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\content\basegame_4_animation.archive, error 1, try regenerating archives!
File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\resource\src\resourcegamedepot.cpp
Line: 499

Solution that works for me: In gog client: options -> manage installation -> Verify repair
It will re-install day one patch
I just checked the full system requirements, and "3GB VRAM" is tucked away back there.

This may explain why the 960 with only 2GB of VRAM, though seemingly "better" than the minimum requirement of a 780, isn't running it? You'd think there would be some sort of error report or warning, though, such as I got with Monster Hunter: World on PC.

I was hoping to get a few more months out of this video card, but I guess it's held the line long enough.
Still no luck with anything. Still can't even get the game to launch. Tried fresh driver installs etc still nothing. Anyone found anything? About to just refund this and move on.
