Noishkel: I saw the suggestion to run the game in Win7 compatibility mode earlier this morning, and it does indeed work. I think everyone that's having the crash just after the beginning of the game to give it a try.
I play on Win7 X64 with GTX960 4Go and 16GB ram + i5-4460
I run game and had an nvvdm Graphics Exception: Shader Program Header 18 crash at launch
=> Install latest Nvidia Driver : The game Runs

Next crash was in front of the mirror, at the very beginning after character creation, either try to remove the badge nor just rolling the mouse scroll.
--> Lowering the graphics was not helpfull
=> I tried that suggestion to put the compatibilyty mode to Win7 in the shortcut : Works perfectly no more crash till now
and I also renew the graphics option to the defaut with no problem.

My brother seemed to fix it by running it in windowed mode at 1920x1080. (Using 144Hz 1440p monitor).
Might be worth a try at least.

I was able to fix my problem by creating a short-cut to the game's executable, going into the compatibility settings, and running it Windows 7 compatibility mode. Worked like a charm for me.

Just to add that now that it has run, I tried to remove the compatibilty mode and the game was still working. (!!)
But I had another crash later in the antenna, just after the garage.
So I put the 1.04 patch and now I'm in the Kight city and already realized some primary quests w/o any other crash for now.

Same thing on my other PC wich is a little bit faster (GTX1060) and it seems to run easy with more detailed graphics parameters than on mine.
