I read a lot about people crashing at the starting screen, or during gameplay.

I fortunately did not have this issue and managed to play through the Nomad prologue.

At some point I'm introduced to NC and a cutscene starts to play with Jackie doing crazy stuff.
Once that cutscene is done my game crashes, consistently!

I haven't the best PC, but it's not terrible either: i7, gtx 960 2gb vram, 16gb ram.

So far I have tried:
* Skipping the cutscene entirely
* Updated outstanding nvidia driver update
* Closed all other applications
* Tried lowering the crowd density in the performance settings.

But so far I haven't been able to play the game further and haven't been able to see any aspect of Night City at all.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm about to refund this title and buy it on PS5 instead if this continues to be a hassle (even though I don't own a PS5 yet).

I had problems with crashing at the CDPR logo when i was tinkering with graphic settings. Navigate to %localappdata%\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\cache and delete the GamePipelineLibrary.cache. It seems that this cache get's broken when ever you lower certain settings like screen resloution or texture resolution. Try if that will help you out. (This is should be only graphics cache and shouldn't contain any game settings or saves but to just to be sure make a backup before)

Hey man, I just tried what you said, but unfortunately no success. I see one frame of sitting in a car and then the game crashes with: "Whoa Cybperunk 2077 Flatlined". I've send a dosen reports already at this point.
Thank you for the effort!
I heard there's a hotfix that dropped yesterday, but I'm still not able to "see" Night City after that introductory cutscene.

I've seen that scene about a 100 times now and it's starting to get on my nerves.

I have DirectX 12.
I have the latest Nvidia drivers from Geforce Experience.
Everything is turned off or at low setting in the graphics settings.
I meet the minimum requirements for this game.

I'm at a loss, can't believe I'm the only one with this problem?
Perhaps I'd have no issue on Steam?
I'm having the same issue, tried all the recent and recommended updates and still nothing.

Hey what worked for me was this nexus mods .exe fix, I just tested it:
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/34?tab=description

Description explains how to install. Basically it's a CPU issue something to do with AVX. Had not heard
of this term until now,but some people have been talking about this for a couple of months now forseeing the issue.

i was crashing just as the game started too. after a TORTUROUS process, i discovered that my graphics card was factory overclocked and underclocking the GPU and the GPU MEMORY got me going. you might want to try underclocking the hell out of your card in the gpu utility that came with your card and see if that lets you play. also research what the base clock is and if your card is factory overclocked and set values to base.

so underclock max first to see if that does anything (for me it was -400mhz gpu, -100mhz gpu mem) and then if it does, research base clock and see if you can upclock back to base clock and see if you're still good (for me, i was able to decrease the gpu underclock to -200mhz).
