I don't have the game yet myself, but I've been researching how to get it to run for when I do and been comparing what people say on performance based on their settings. This should work regardless of whether you're on console or PC, except for drivers of course. Here's what I've found to be the general fixes and changes in settings that people have had the most success with, for those who are having performance issues.

Update your drivers. The latest versions were made with Cyberpunk 2077 in mind and could help a lot.
Turn off Film Grain.
Turn off Motion Blur.
Turn off Chromatic Aberration.

These are a drain on performance and don't have a huge impact on making the game better looking. Also consider turning down Shadows and depth of field.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: corrected.

turning down fog, clouds and cascade shadows to medium make a big difference aswell
Update your drivers but NOT for AMD for now:

The latest Radeon 20.12.1 are bugged and have problems with the game like random crash and freeze, while not give you any performance improvement for the game in comparison with the previous but more stable 20.11.2

Hey where did you get that info? Is that just your experience or is this a widespread problem?
I have heard Depth Of Field is also a big tax on performance, perhaps turning this off or on the lowest setting could result in a bit higher performance.

You're right. That's the one I meant instead of field of view! I'll just correct that to prevent confusion.

There's also turning off ray tracing, but I figure most people will have already tried that.
In Windows 10 turning off Fullscreen Optimizations may also considerably improve performance.

Right click on desktop shortcut -> compatibility -> x Disable Fullscreen Optimizations -> Apply

I don't know whether it does in case of CP2077 but it's worth a try.

Using Galaxy you would have to change to the folder containing the .exe and right-click that to disable fullscreen optimizations. In case you run it with different accounts on the same computer you want to disable it for all users.

compatibility -> change settings for all users -> x Disable Fullscreen Optimizations -> Apply
