Hello!

Some information from the game's first expansion has been datamined and leaked. A place in Pacifica called the Combat Zone will be part of the DLC's storyline. The Combat Zone was not featured in the main game, but was in the art book. Another previously inaccessible area we'll visit is called the Sports Dome. There isn't much dialogue from Johnny. A new character, Songbird, will constantly cut him off. Events of the DLC will be referenced in the main storyline ending. The DLC will include fixer quests, world stories, new world encounters, and seven missions.

Edit: thanks for the replies! ♥

Sounds cool
Neat! I wonder if they'll integrate the Combat Zone with the rest of Pacifica, or if you'll have to make it over the wall to access it. Either way, it'll be nice to see a new area open up.

I still hope they make a final DLC that does something about the ending (like Blood & Wine did for W3), but more content is never a bad thing :)
I read stuff about it, I was expecting more ambitious stuff for such an ambitious project. CDPR doesnt want to end with "bang" if you know what I mean. They could do spin-off.

well... at least we know they are actually working on an expansion now.

I'd almost forgotten they ever said they were going to do that... it's been so long.... :-o

Well, they are working on Expansion doesnt mean we are getting one. Just like MP.

I would go with spin-off myself. Tried to suggest it to them way before launch. With spin-off they can make much bigger changes to the game, change UI, characters, new story, better combat etc. Also spin-off is different, guy buy a spin-off, likes it, he buy Cyberpunk 2077 too.

They can always do that later.
I want more of their storytelling in this world.

If it's things they originally designed to be in the game, that they are now able to do because I bought the original game, I'm totally happy to pay for an expansion now too!

Expansion means they add abit of new story. Spin-off means brand new story, maybe a bit of the old story.

Ive played a few spin-off and Ive started to like them more than traditional expansions. Spin-off also has more marketting value.

Also vastly more risky.

You said you played spinoffs that you liked recently.
That's unusual; most of hte spinoffs I've seen were far worse then the originals.

Look at gwent... in the Witcher 3, it had a completely different feel and quite a bit different function then it does in the card game they released separately.
I really liked that original one; The changes they made to the standalone game just made it repulsive to me!

Whats the risk? Cyberpunk is 86 metacritic game, CDPR could still save their faces. Thats the main reason I keep spamming my idea. They could say "Hey, we are gonna make this work!"

Game Industry has tons of 85 metacritic games, they appear every year but 90+ stuff is rare. I see no risk.

The risk is they lose a lot of money and maybe go out of business.
I'm not saying it's impossible and I'd take a look at it, if they did make a spinoff.
I'm just saying that I''d prefer expansions for Cyberpunk 2077 first; I been waiting for those!

CDPR said they made enough money to stay in operation next 10 year. Even Witcher 4 was massive flop, it wouldnt be the end.

I cant believe this game still gets so much negativity even after 2 year. Yet another reason to go for spin-off?

Odd... I heard Gwent was a pretty big failure and they were losing money last year.

Well we can argue to the end of times. I hope CDPR goes with spin-offs. Its actually quite fresh and modern too, unlike Expansions.
