not only is it clunky as hell but it has half a second delay between you pressing turn and the car actually turning leading to it being impossible to get to your destination without crashing at least 20 times.
at least no one seems to care that you need crashing into them

seems as long as you don't kill them its fine, I ran into someone and instantly they died, had all kinds of cops all over me.

I do agree the controls for driving are horrible, often times faster to walk
I wholeheartedly disagree. Only drove the 2 cars early in the game but I think it's perfect. This is not supposed to be GTA!
You're supposed to drive carefully. I played for a couple of hours and didn't crash even once.

Yeah I had no trouble with the driving response time.

I'm guessing the people complaining don't meet minimum requirements for the settings they've chosen.

Driving reminds me of the first watchdog game. It was a lot better with a controller than a keyboard. I might try that later, but like others have said I'm just walking around most the time anyway.
I'm also finding the acceleration to be far too touchy... but that may be my keyboard.
I've never liked driving with only the WASD keys. Much prefer mouse for steering. Having unpleasant flashbacks of Brutal Legend and the Hammerhead from Mass Effect.

I didn't mind driving, but this I did mind (attached). Made the mistake of getting into it and I couldn't get out then, hahaha.

The driving is fine unless you're playing CP on a potato. The only issue I see is that the camera angle keeps resetting after maybe 10 seconds. I'd like for that camera angle to stay where I have it so I can see the road the way I like. :/

No problems in terms of that on PC. Got a GTX1080 (which sadly means I can't use raytracing or DLSS), with most graphics settings up to max.

What DOES piss me off slightly about the driving is handbrake + brake seem to do f*ck all. But apart from that it's fine & fun

Vehicles in general are better with controller. With that said, the devs need to accommodate driving with KB/M, considering the platform we are playing on.

Would you be able to tell the difference with RTX on/off, especially when the action picks up? I don't think I'd notice it unless I saw a side by side comparison.

Edit: typo

I found the best way to think of it is like it's been adapted to using arrow keys. You tap rather than hold to turn and the car follows a gradual turning curve. That's how it feels anyway on my non-potato (i7-4770K and RTX3060ti).

Cyberpunk runs mostly smooth for me if I lower the settings. I don't think my PC is that old just yet. But driving in this game sucks. The reason I say this is because the vehicles peform like the roads are covered in ice. So if I don't drive slowly, the vehicle is going to be all over the place. You simply may not care because you tend to drive slow.

Barely you can drive carefully with left hand. But GTA was offering a way to set alternative layout additionally to main, so i was using 8654, as ↑→↓← was busy by phone.
I have to concur about the driving. I have a Steam controller, but never use it. I've played many driving games from the NFS series (Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted 2005, etc), and have always used keyboard + trackball. The steering in this game is far too sensitive.

Ironically, it seems that the cars steer better at low speeds than high speeds. They seem to turn more naturally. Also ironically, motorcycles seem easier to control than cars do, not sure why but I'll take it.

Lastly, not playing on a potato (for those comments above). Ryzen 7 1800x, 32GB RAM and an RX 590, running the game on an SSD.

С вождением явные проблемы, особенно у самой первой машины V - кочевника. Мне не нужен реализм, мне нужно удобное управление а его нет. Может поэтому автомобильный трафик в игре почти отсутствует.
