I don't know about you guys but I have hope that the issues we are all encountering will be resolved.

Think on this like No Mans Sky, forced to release, they knew it wasn't ready. Look at that game now.

Let's take a moment to reflect on that, and think of what is possible for Cyberpunk.

I for one will see where this rabbit hole goes.

CD Projekt have never let me down before, they messed up. what is important now, is what they do to fix it.

Not like they have dropped the ball multiple times before, *Cough* EA *Cough*.

The similarities between this release and NMS is insane. Reviewers are click baiting with negative titles. The vocal cracked screen generation are screaming bloody murder.

Then there are people like myself, just quietly playing the game with less than perfect settings, and occasional glitching but still playing it.

Not liking a few things I see, and getting a little annoyed at some of the glaring issues, teleporting police!!!!

However, I will wait and see.

And I hope CD Projekt know there are players like myself, and we motivate them to rectify the issues faster than any amount of tantrums and click bait media ever will. It must be demoralising.

So lets give them a positive, their forums are full of negativity, but I bet you have something you like about the game.

SO RESPOND WITH IT HERE.

I love the side quests, they can be very dark but amazing.

Never felt I had to execute people in a game before, but one quest did that for me.

The response from whiny aspies have been off the charts obnoxious and hypocritical. Did Hello Games have to take their terrible, terrible, terrible sham game down when they were caught exaggerating? No. Did Squeenix get pilloried and refunded for Mankind Divided? That game that is STILL garbage and abandoned by the freaks in the credits photos?

I think CDPR has set some great examples here:

1) Don't go public. Don't be greedy. All that extra money went into marketing and hype.

2) They set a precedent for offering a quick refund even though Sony thwarted them with their "Japan helped the Germans" shtick. They start awesome, gamer friendly practice like this like offering Steam owners of Witcher 3 a free GoG backup copy. That is very cool and I will always like them for it.

3) CDPR cannot juice up the "depricated hardware" model Nintendo put in place 40 years ago. Sony and Nintendo deliberately underpower their hardware leading to low framerates and they do not care. They don't play the systems on the bankster end or understand what we're even angry at. They're money vaccuums. They think video games are for kids and watch the same Law & Order rerun twice in the same day. For adults. The PS4 was underpowered for next gen right out the gate and has struggled with 30fps / Medium Pc settings ever since. CDPR can't compensate for Son'y deeply depricated, crap hardware.

Fanboyism can't make console hardware better. Those base consoles are just crap. Even my PS4 Pto feels like "come on..." compared to a proper PC.

GAmers need to grow up and CDPR needs to quit and form a new indie company without "investors" that don't don't know dick and ruin everything they touch.

And not enough people are complaining about FPS titles that use Distributed / Hybrid serving which is why the majority of FPS games online are worse than when 56k modem was the only viable option.

Batman games by Warner Bros all are broken
Mortal Kombat games by Warner Bros have broken krpyt which if it got bugged could be bypassed with a DLC for $20
that's literally the definition of Extortion / Fraud.
The Injustice games are sooo broken...
LOTR games by Warner Bros have terrible input issues
And all of these games suffer from a green flashing event or black screen depending on the person all use Unreal Engine in poor ways.
And Warner Bros cancelled all further updates weeks after release of the titles.

Where is the outrage for this repeated behaviour, yet you have people in here screaming like babies because a patch is not ready etc, EA took 6 months to patch BF3 after release because the team was working on DLC that's fine though to have inconsistent player positions in relation to actual position Dedicated servers on BF2 didn't have that problem.

The bad hitrego in all those Fps titles is related to the first bit I was speaking of.

Where is the outrage you have these player bases they all whinge about the same thing but none of them scream refund ?..

Stop being pathetic and whiny this game works just needs some tuning the reviewers and other steam shills should be silinced.

What baffles me most of all is all the extremism going on. Most opinions on the game are either "this is the worst game ever, kill it with fire and never buy anything from CD Projekt Red or GOG ever again!!!1!111" or "shut up naysayers, this game is fantastic, I haven't found any problems with it so it's fine, CD Projekt Red are gods among men and are gonna save us all!!!111!!!1"

I mean, can we acknowledge the game has a host of problems, the marketing *was* shady and misleading, the bugs are plentiful, the game is unplayable on current-gen consoles (and it's not the console's fault if they chose to release the game on it, if it was too much for current-gen consoles then they should have skipped those), the core game design itself feels unfinished sometimes etc, while at the same time liking the story, characters, shooting, the nice looking visuals, and remembering CD Projekt Red usually tries their best to do right by their customers, they are trying to fix this mess (I mean, we are the the fifth hotfix now, aren't we?), they have released a buggy game in the past which is now considered a masterpiece etc?

I mean, it's easy to see what happened here. They developed a super ambitious game, then spent a long time trying to make it work on current gen consoles and realistic PCs, delayed it multiple times and got a lot of criticism for it, and finally decided they couldn't handle another delay, even if they knew the game desperately needed it. It was the absolute worst decision they could make if you ask me, but then again, a combination of greed and fear of the gamers' reactions if there was another delay led us all to where we are now. There are no saints nor demons in this story, no flawless heroes or unredeemable villains. I know this is a hard concept to understand in today's polarized world, but that's how things are.

Anyway, in my exoerience, the game is playable on my PC on low settings, I haven't encountered any game-breaking bugs, and it's only the base game design that's bothering me, since they sold me a deep RPG and delivered a looter-shooter, albeit one with a great open world, great story (so far) and gorgeous visuals. So I'm not refunding the game, because I'm satisfied with it, but I understand a lot of people are feeling betrayed, lied to (because we were), and many are not even getting to play the game they paid for. For my part, I'm not even a huge CDPR fan (haven't gotten past the first area of Witcher 3 before getting bored with the game, for example), but I know this is their first time behaving like a shady AAA company towards their customers (as opposed to other AAA publishers who release broken games, don't even try to fix them, repeat the cycle, and are not given as hard a time as CDPR is being given now), so I'm willing to give them a chance this time. I mean, I like the game as it is now, so it will be no sacrifice.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the situation is bad, very bad. There's no denying it, but people are blowing it out of proportion because it's a game that was hyped to hell and back, because it's made by a company we used to see as consumer-friendly, because painting it as an unprecedented disaster generates more clicks, and because we are having a hell of a year, and to suffer this blow so close to Christmas on this year of all years has to make the impact harder. But I surely would love to see a more rational discussion, because there is one very important one to be had in this situation if we forget the extremisms on both sides.

Lots of "journalism" been really avid to prey on CD PROJECT.

Did we seen this huge shitstorm on Fallout 76? on ANTHEM or Mass Effect Andromeda? on No Man´s Sky? Not even close.

CD Project Red did some huge mistakes and one of them was been too nice, really, pushing refunds on ps network is a mistake since they took the game off the store and is becoming news everywhere, damage control work in the patches, fix the issues, but don´t be that nice, the people that will refund the game is not going to say thanks for it. I know how bad maybe they did with some stuff but counting on the pressure of the release and develop a game like this for so many systems...,

Yet the same press that dares to say they care about the quality of life for the devs. and the teams are now hurting this game as much as they can, much more than any of the mentioned games, the question is, why?

Because of the GOG platform these others are threatened by their method as it removes control after the fact of sale games on steam get updates that remove content because a license has expired to sell the game in that state so your copy of the game is then affected as steam will update it with the removed archive etc, Which is why I believe that the mass targeting of CDPR is because of Shills from others who would like GOG removed as a consumer option, GOG is what I've turned to getting further away from Steam.

Also the game is buggy but it sure is funny

Could be, yes,I also think they really want to push the studio down as much as possible in order to buy it by some big company. If you check the past about the mentioned games, the second biggest shitstorm after Cyberpunk was over No Man´s Sky, the easy victim, which also makes me consider the press loves visits and the virtua signaling of pretending to be really impartial, but if you check the disstar ANTHEM is, they just made some investiagion articles about the issues of the development, but never, never, throw so much shit onthem. Because is EA, and because they may be really really really afraid of big established companies (bigger ones that CD PROJECT RED) cut their support to them.

That could be an easy explanation.

Why don't they target Star Citizen this is odd that game is so slowly developed and their funding was $200 million by 2018 and it's still an unplayable mess to the point of aggravation it's now at $300 Million +, Where are the Angry mobs with burning torches for that ?

Exactly, and selling spaceships for 1000 USD or having "insurance" policies for them, and yes I paid 100 dollars for a ship, and I actually enjoy the unfinished broken mess is Star Citizen, and yes, they published some goship about Robert´s life, but never never attacked him like they attack CD Project.

Star Citizen is a known clusterfuck that has zero hype at present and only a few last diehards of the absolute melons who put money into it are still waiting for it. Where is the news value in that?

Cyberpunk 77 is a proper triple-A game from a proper developer that set out to be a generational game and which has an enormous marketing budget. It broke a whole bunch of records on release, that's how hyped it is. And it turns out that actually the executives lied their asses off time and again? That actually the game is nearly unplayable on some platforms? That bugs and glitches are present to an extent where fucking Bethesda are having a laugh? Yeah, that has news value.

Quick refund is a joke right, when even their own company cannot comply with it, just look at the refund thread and elswhere.

True, but they mever been so avid with Anthem or Mass Effect Andromeda on its release, or any Bethesda game ever, or Assassin´s Creed... yes Cyberpunk 2077 is really broken on PS4 or ONE but so far I am playing on Xbox Series X and I am more than 10 hours in the game and I only had some clipping bugs, I still think game press is really exagerating like never before which is already big problem.

Errors are not a problem. This is not a finished product, it is an MVP for investors (in terms of development). So there can be no excuse.
I am by no means giving up on CD Project Red over this. The game is fun and they have promised some big patches when they get back from the holidays. I fully intend to wait and see what they do. I don't know that closing shop til after the holidays on a game JUST released was the wisest decision they could have made, but I am still gonna give them a chance. For over a decade they have been entertaining me with EXCELLENT high quality games and a clear standard of caring about how their players feel. I have faith that they will do what needs to be done, provided all of the fickle people wanting to go nuclear on them over a first time mistake after over 10 years of excellence don't cause them to fail completely. BioWare survived the storm from Mass Effect Andromeda however and I think CDPR will survive this. I have every reason to hope Cyberpunk 2077 will survive it as well. I have spent TOO long anticipating and waiting for this game to give up on it now. And as I said already, bugs and censorship aside, this game to ME is a lot of fun.
