Before I got a new monitor, I could play the 1.04 on the lowest settings possible with windows 7 without crashing except every 1-2 hours on a 1920x1080 tv. Got a new monitor (actual computer monitor) 2560x1080 widescreen. Also updated from the 1.04 to the 1.06. Now it crashes during mirror scene at start of game. Not through the editor or anything, just mirror scene. It had crashed before always at any mirror scenes at 1.04, except the beginning. I have all the graphics on low. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it back to the 1.04 patch but it still crashing at the start.

Win 7
16G Ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 TI latest update.

If anyone could help with this problem. I would appreciate it.

If I have undestood well you could try to lower the game resolution to the usual 16:9 1080p to pass that scene that crash your game, then save and set the screen again to your current resolution. Not a fix but maybe a work around. Also you could use your old monitor to make a save after that mirror scene.

Another thing you could try is using the mod Cyber Engine Tweaks, It has some fixes that may help you.

I'm sorry if I'm not big help but that's all that comes to my mind and no one answered you yet so...
Cheers choom.

There is another problem here with resolutions, as the previous responder stated, you might have to get through the starting scene in a standard resolution to not crash.

For example if you run it at 8K there was a bug with the menu and it would stretch to where it could not be used, too.

However, if you were already crashing, something else might be incompatible with your system and the game, too.

1080P-4K I was able to run maxed even with Psycho settings, but DLSS has to be used for it, from Quality-Extreme Performance depending on specific resolution, and it sure as hell doesn't get 60FPS, I just hope to keep it above 30 whatever I tweak and found that spot for nearly all possible self done benchmarks, but that's my rig, not yours.

I don't know what rig you have, but there's another video for turning off additional options for stability tweaks..

Have you tried Vulkan
I'm afraid you reached the point where you need new GPU.
GTX 1050 Ti was good some years ago and perhaps still enough in FHD on low/med settings, but pushing it beyond that sounds like expecting too much.

Also Windows7... it is fine when it works, but when something crash you might be out of luck for any support.

Ouch according to benchmarks it's out classed by a GTX780 which is min spec on the store page for this buggy mess of a game, He could probably pick up a second hand card really cheap and get triple that performance consdering
Okay, I have tried pretty much everything now, and it always crashes at the start, well not start. During the Mirror scene. Thanks for the suggestions though. I guess I will have to wait until the problem if fixed, or I ever get a new Graphics card.

Did you try to use the https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton
Route DX12 through Vulkan works on Windows also might get you past the mirror part.
