Evidence - go to the last page/s: https://www.gog.com/games?sort=popularity
For me this is https://www.gog.com/games?sort=popularity&page=94 but due to local censorship some games are probably missing.

But: On Steam its still #3 https://store.steampowered.com/search/?filter=topsellers&os=win
(But Steam is probably using a different algorithm.)

Does the low ranking on GOG have something to do with refunds?

Steam community is full of CDPR fanboys who feel they can do no wrong. Speak out about Cyberpunk's problems and they get on you for it. It's disgusting.

I mentioned this elsewhere you will find those a valve shills to keep sales up, Disgusting group who report legit users you can't even speak out against them on the Steam Forums you will get bans from Community mods and Valve Reps it's insane they don't like losing their 30% of a sale, Other smaller companies are known to hire teams that scour social media and common places to sew confusion etc, Why else would a software company hire Ex-NSA etc / psychologists to work their media, They literally treat customers as Hostile.

They treat everyone as hostile who dares to mention soomething wrong with their shiny toys. They ban entire households to shut us up about the issues there. Permanently, on the official CDPR forums, and even me, a veteren supporter, a full month. So, I'm pretty sure the mods are run by the fanbois, themselves.

Some sort of Creation Club is already taking shape around here? where modders are quite verbal if you dare to criticize Bethesda. These Triple A studios put more effort on the marketing of things, if a game costs 200 millions to produce, more than a half is to empower the hype train.
Meh plenty are still playing. Its just alot jumped ship while the rest stay and enjoy it.

Which brings me, personally, back to only trusting established Indies who've proven themselves and even then, carefully. As, originally CDPR was indie, they certainly are no longer.

When you get in bed with Nvidia this is what happens to your release Nvidia have always tampered you never partner with these Clowns WB learnt their lessons, Bethesda Learnt their Lesson Arkane Learnt their Lesson.

Nvidia are never to be trusted near the source of your game every damn game that has had their taint on it has had release issues preventing people operating on anything but the latest Nvidia.

Ahh and Tessellation on CryEngine, AMD got one back at them making performance with their version of Hairworks tress some rubbish..

Nvidia are toxic on a software level.

I agree about Nvidia, they have gone the extra mile to sabatoge their rival. They both have done things, but Nvidia, takes the cake & runs with it, they even went after podcasters and youtubers recently, if they didn't speak positively about their products, kinda dirty..

CDPR can come back, it's just going to require a No Man's Sky return, imho.

Indeed. What some people perceive as "justice" is mind boggling.
CDPR can spit in their faces and they will call it a blessing and make up stories about how CDPR spit is actually good for you and will make the blind see again.

Let's hope we will at least be refunded, as promised. I would rather burn that money than let CDP have it.

For me it is actually on page 95 of 96.
It could be that pre-orders are not included in this rating.
But - giving credits to bug level on release - I like to think it turned the counter and is now starting again from bottom : )

So there is more than one full page of censorship - at least if pages are same: mine is 16x3 = 48.

And for me its now on 93 of 94. Maybe support doesnt do refunds today so buyers dominate refunders?
I doubt t is refund - more like pre-orders not counted.
And even if, that special refund offer was valid until Dec 21st so sales number can only get higher now.

Refunds (from requests several weeks ago) are still being processed - see for example this thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/cyberpunk_2

GOG also has a general 30day refund thing: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011314978-How-do-I-refund-a-game-?product=gog

You may request a refund for a product up to 30 days after purchase, even if it was downloaded, launched, and played.
But I dont know either if refunds play a role in the ranking - its just that without evidence to the contrary I do think its a possibility.

It does seems very likely that the refund values play a big part in it.
0 day sales for this game were huge; so if the returns weren't counted, it should be somewhere near the top.
