Optical1967: Wont even start flat line error
Like almost all of my friends Ridiculous
Running windows 8.1 NVidia 980 TI
It won't work on win 8, you must update to win 10
avatar
FlyntDragon: I'm also receiving the gpuapidx12error.cpp error.

Windows 10 LTSB v1607, 1080ti, 64 gigs of ram, 3x displays.

Did all the trouble shooting outlined on GoG's support page as well. I went ahead and put in a support request, but I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this specific error.

Stupid question for those who are encountering this problem: You guys also running LTSB / Enterprise level, by chance? Trying to come up with any oddball trends to try and point folks (Either as customers or the devs) in a direction to look at.

Omdry: Yes, I got same gpuapidx12error.cpp error on Win10 LTSB v1607 + GTX1070.
Think it might be related to Windows 1607 version, I have Win 10 pro 1607 and an RX 480 which is strange, hope they fix don't really want to update my whole windows.

Yep, Windows 10 Pro LTSB v1607.
GTX 1080 + drivers from yesterday (though in my attempts to find a solution I went back all the way to April drivers with no luck, however by the end of the days rolled back to Dec 9 drivers)

Tried that, no dice. Still crashes after the intro video.
2070s
Startup crash was fixed for me by updating to the graphics drivers released on the 9'th.

Didn't fix the apparently memory leak after an hour of play, that takes down the entire graphics driver and requires a system reboot though. :-(

I'm also 1607 with the same error - just going to try installing the October build of Windows and see if that helps with anything.
Win10 LTSB 1607 won't start
I am on Windows 10 v1607 with a 1080GTX. From what i see, i cannot start ANY direct x 12 related game. Red Dead Redemption and Cyperpunk 2077 both dont even start. If they think i need to install a new Windows10, i will just refund my money. No game in the world is worth the hassle of installing a new OS plus all programs and plugins, i need to have for work. JUST A BIG FU, for releasing such a bull$hit like this. Not even a option to start in direct x 11.

And for all the RTX fan boys out there. Where to buy a 3080 founders edition? You simply can not. So why make default options for directx 12??? Thats plain stupid.

Krydez: i have this error as well...
Error Reason: Assert
Expression: commonFileLoaded
Message: Failed to load in-game config file from 'D:Games\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config\settings\options.json'
File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\redconfig\src\ingameconfigreader.cpp

I dont even have an e drive....
ok good there is someone out there with the same error as me.
I disabled the cloud, it fixed the crash for me.
I'm willing to bet at this point the issue is related to 1607 not having the right dx12 components if folks are getting the gpuapidx12error.cpp error.

Yay at least being able to spot a trend!

Please let us know how it goes? Really appreciate you being willing to do the testing for us. I tried doing the standard windows updates last night just to make sure it wasn't something I had missed in the last month or so, but I'm pretty sure it's an OS level issue already based on trends in this thread.

the game failing to load in a config file like mine and at least one other persons error is nothing to do with our systems.

true and I tried reinstalling gog as well as cyberpunk and nothing worked
Hey guys just thought i would share this incase it helps somebody. I was getting that Cyberpunk flatlined error everytime i clicked on the game launcher icon on my desktop or through the gog launcher. What worked for me (depending on what GPU you have! I had nvidia 2070 Super). Go to the nvidia experience application and make sure you have the latest drivers. Next click launch game from there. Dont click optimise the game just yet as it wont work. The game needs to launch at least once before you can use that option.

Hope this helps somebody!
Here my main issue, as a lot of ''feels guys'' in this forum

Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.
