I have tried ever since launch to get 2077 working on my PC through GOG. My issue is that after I install the game I press the play button, it goes gray for a second and then goes back to normal with the game not showing any signs of attempted launch. I have updated my drivers, downloaded everything available in the extras, uninstalled and reinstalled plus verify/repair, and even had someone far more competent than me look through supposed solutions and try them but thus far Nothing has worked. There was someone called Sigmer that I've seen who claimed to have a solution but it did not work for me either. I'm stuck and have no clue what else to do other than wait for CDPR to make some kind of patch that ends up fixing my issue but I'm not exactly counting on it. If anyone can help, please do and let me know what else is needed to fix this. Thank you for reading.

Have you shutdown galaxy completely and started the game directly from the \bin\x64 folder (no shortcut)?

Game launchers have a tendency to mute problems and error messages

I have the same problem except i can send an error report to the devs with a popped window.

Which OS are you using?

Meanwhile there are a lot of others reporting not being able to start up the game with varying OS from 7 to 8.1 to 10.
For some it helped updating drivers, for others downgrading or cut off the second display or just using the repair option from Galaxy or Steam. Sounds like a big mess and it just needs some severe patching. Maybe.

Anyay I have Windows 8.1 and it's not officially supported i read. So I will take the safe route and refund if not some miracle happens.

I also have win 7, the game try to launch and give me the flatline error. I will wait some days waiting for the patch, if not i wil ask (sadly) a refund. Let's hope in some xmas miracle:)
This game doesn't like older windows, best bet would be to update to win 10 to run it. Also what gpu and cpu do you have, maybe its outdated?

I assumed the same but there are a lot of people with similar issues with win10 and decent hardware. The problem seems to be the game here. A new patch might fix it sometime down the line.

DLLNCRFT:
On Windows 7 you at least need to install the latest Platform update for 7:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=36805

"The Platform Update for Windows 7 enables improved features and performance on Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. " That means also partial use of DX12 on Windows 7

I Agree with Morkar, the problem is the game. I don't expect to be able to run this game at hig fps and hig settings at all, i'm prepared to run it at the lowest graphic settings and i'm fine with it, i'm aware that i can not pretend magic from my hardware but i think that the game should run, then if it is unplayable due to low hardware specs it's another matter. Btw i can run the witcher 3 at low/med settings and have a stable and enjoyable experience
I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise, corporate license from work. It was working partially with 1.0.3, as in I could get to the mirror in the Nomad path, (Provided I was running the patch exe from nexus mods that removed the check for AVX) without that patch, it would crash once I exited character creation.

Now with 1.0.4, the game won't even run properly, it loads, put up the loading cinematic, if you play it, or skip it, it just crashes to destop, I can't even logini to the CDPR forums, and they're so slow that navigation is a waiting game.

I figure I'll give up for a week or so, This is just frustrating and time consuming.
I have same issues cannot launch game only way I could get game to launch and play with no apparent issues was to install older driver -nvidia 446.14 anything newer game will not launch for me

I would have liked to verify this but unfortunately I didn't pick this game right away cause I wanted to dodge this bullet (the headache induced by frustration from the bugs and glitches in this game.
I've having the same issue with the dx12 error but I'm on windows 10...

Thank you. That was indeed my problem. I had the 2077 drivers installed and the driver kept shutting down. Stock 1080Ti

Many thanks.
