That doesn't mean that it is impossible, it simply means it very complicate. If there would be a simple solution, the problem had been solve years ago.
I'am sure a "loyal" Microsoft employee would state that they only collect the data for the good of the user and not like me for there own financial gain.

Or microsoft throwing monies in order to prevent it.
Anyway, if there is, out there, a politician willing to challenge the microsoft's W10 spyware, I'd vote for him. Hell, if his heart is honestly into it, I could even volunteer to work for him. For free.
I'd say, not all microsoft employee's are that stupid.

A political solution would be the most promising approach, at least far more promising than simply not buying there products. It is easier to convince people that they don't want there private datas being abused by a company, than convincing them to not use windows. Also you would have to convince at least 40-50% of the people to not longer use Windows to make differance, but you only have to convince ~20% of the people that data mining is bad to make it a relevant political topic. But you will need a lot of brain power, passion and time to create useful laws against data mining.
Simply not buying games or software want change anything. If that topic is important for you, engage yourself politically and don't wait for someone you can follow, thats at least my personal opinion.

Not buying, it is just a personal decision, not a political statement or some vain attempt to change the world.
I do not have the required personality traits.

Engaging in politics does not necessarily mean to hold a political office. Mostly its about staying informed, finding people with simulare political interest and to devote yourself to a political idea(what ever that means). Sitting at home and waiting, does not seem efficient to me.
Do as you like it is your political ideal and i don't think i have the right to judge(and i don't really care about).

Not really, but i you like to see it that way.
I'm simply tired of people telling how bad this world is and expecting others to change it. Don't get me wrong, if you don't want to get involved in politicts, thats okay. Freedom also includes the right to do nothing. But if you wait for someone else to start changing things, you may never experience a change.

Just to add another 'Windows 7 user here wanting to buy Cyberpunk2077, but not sure if I should'.
My future PC's will all be dual boot Linux (probably Mint) /Windows 7 Pro builds as i just don't want to support MS with the direction they have taken under Windows 10 (that started under Windows 8).
Many people have been looking at Linux BECAUSE of Windows 10 and the way MS have pushed it out, and the feelings around it run deep.
So please do ensure Cyberpunk can run on Windows 7, pretty please :)
If not then fine, i do still have the Witcher 3 to play and mod (so that will keep me busy for a few years!) ;)

https://www.oo-software.com/en/ooappbuster Appbuster to nuke all the bundled crap.
Both are portable.
In case of need of a legit key for cheap you can go to scdkey
Enterprise edition gives full control over updates and allows to fully disable telemetry.
On a side note, GOG should be supporting Linux. Its the DRM free OS. And I will buy Cyberpunk! On any platform except Win 10.

Do we still have no clear answer on this?
I would love to give GOG the money for Cyberpunk, but i really just can not unless i know it will run on my systems (Windows 7 and Linux). Just knowing if GOG plan to support Windows 7 would be nice (and get more sales no doubt).

No, no answer.
You will have to wait. Most likly the answer is no(if they did intent to support Win7, they would have said it).
If you want to know, if they game runs with Win7, i guess you will have to wait till release.

I'd rather have a native Linux support. However i hope they can support Windows 7 as well by knowing how bad can be/is windows 10. I understand somehow if they won't support it, but i still hope thay can understand us since windows 10 is clearly not a safe os, videogames or not.
