DoomFruit: The vast majority of the time, yes. But we can all hope that our opinion catches, others do the same (abandon Win10) and then in turn convince yet more to drop Win10 pick an OS which doesn't try to position itself as your master.

The only real issue is in being sufficiently persuasive to do this... a trait which I most definitely do not have.
If you were able to make ever remaining Win 7 user change to Linux(because it's not an MS os), that would really make a differance. Losing 20% market share would force MS to reconsider there current strategy. But that is rather unrealistic. Not even a dozen people in the world have read this thread completely. Your fight against MS is entirely off-topic. The original topic was if Cyberpunk is going to run on Win 7 , why or why not,... . Wrong audience. The less resources you have, the smarter you have to use them. It's like a prophet without an audience. Even if he makes the best speech, it doesn't matter if he is talking to the wrong or to no audience. Why don't you do this in a place where many people read it or at least notice it?

Your problem is not that you are not persuasive enough, it's that you don't understand your enemy, it's strategy or targets at all. You simply don't know where to hit them. War is not about force it is about knowledge. You are far more useful to MS than me, even if i would work for MS(which i dont). Uncoordinated individual actions aimed at insignificant targets, which are easily fended off or even directed against you.

I don't tell you to stop(okay, tell you to stop if you want to continue this strategy because you are more destructive, than useful for your own side). I tell you to learn about your enemy and to understand where your actions really matter. MS and friends are an powerful opponent. Do you really think you could win without a strategy?

This guy is on a roll. Can you stop trolling so hard? Its too obvious. This is not your forum, not your thread, and certainly nobody even wants to even "discuss" with troll, so can you go feed somewhere else? In any case, im going to report. You just keep flooding with nonsense words like relentlesly.

"nonsense words" XD

That A_B_raxis dude might have a few spelling and grammar mistakes but has a much greater command of the English language than you. Reporting a post of his is a way to probably have GOG ignore any further reports you might do in the future, especially considering the only type of post report that exists is spam, which someone carrying a conversation, whether you like the content or not, can never be.
Just to put an end to this: Could someone simply close this thread?

For the next months there will be no additional infos if Cyberpunk 2077 will run on Win 7/8 or Linux. If there will be new infos it would be better to open a new thread instead of continuing a over 120 replies long thread, thats mostly off topic since at least 40 posts.

Oh, so Mister Corporate Lover wants to shut down the discussion about dirty tricks of his Masters?
Nicely played!
i mean Windows 7 support ends in Januray 2020 so i guess they didn't see any point in supporting it anymore. (for this game)

Do not want to start a flame or something - but game comes out in april of 2019. So your reasoning is not THAT solid.

Game will work with DX12, I don't know if only DX12? If yes I think Win7 can have problems with running it...? So my guess it can run Win 10 (EDIT: Win 8.1 does not have DX12 I was not sure, but now I am... DX12 Win10 only!)...

Come on gog, don't mess over your loyal fans and supporters by making Cyberpunk 2077 WIN 10 ONLY ! ! ! ! ! !

We expect BS and other crap like that from steam. Not from you !
Windows 10 has put a lot of love and effort into filling its new "OS as a service" with telemetry and spyware. Now they want you to enjoy the fruits of their labour. So they try everything to make Windows 7 unattractive (like questionable Windows 7 telemetry updates).
Age of Empires 1+2 Definitive, State of Decay 2 etc. are Windows 10 exclusive and I doubt Cyberpunk will (or is allowed) to support Windows 7.
FCK WIN10
high rated
Back in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s computers and computer games were so vibrant and exciting, with so many new ideas, and new technologies rendering everything obsolete before it even left the factory. The idea of using a 10 year old OS in those days was laughable, and yet that's exactly what I'm doing now, running windows 7. It's crazy, I should totally be upgrading, but I don't NEED to when it's still running brand new games! And I don't WANT to when the only option is windows 10!

On the one hand I know it's time for something new, but on the other hand I know that something is NOT windows 10.

For me the choice is simple, if Cyberpunk does end up requiring windows 10 then I wont be buying it, at least not on PC. I'll just have to wait and see when the official requirements come out, but at this point it looks like I'll be buying a PS4

At least for some games
