I find this really irritating.
I can understand not letting players break down the iconics or sell them... but preventing putting them into the stash?!?

This makes nose sense to me!
I like a clean inventory.
You're probably talking about iconics with the quest mark on them. I have been carrying 3 of them for weeks. I'm pretty sure it is a bug and it will be fixed in future. But for now It's just locked space in the inventory so not a big deal, a little annoying tho.

Yup. Just got jonnys gun and it doesn't prevent me recycling it.
Only the clothing ones.

I want the ability to mark or unmark stuff like that, but still be able to put it into stash.
Wish they did the whole not being able to deconstruct iconic weapons at all, however would still like to be able to place them in stash these quest related items, after upgrading Johnnies clothing i have his blue version boots and purple and now legendary version and same goes for his other items and Rivers gun 2 versions of that and not able to put them into stash still marked as !.

Would love the iconic weapons becoming unable to deconstruct or at least add a feature to let us favorite items we might not want to deconstruct since at times when deconstructing a large amount of weapons i end up sometimes deconstructing a iconic weapon and having to reload if i spot it have lost a few iconic weapons at times.

I've made the higher tier versions now as well.
I'm really surprised they made them all permanent and quest items, even when you craft new ones.

But not being able to put more then 7 pieces into storage is really irritating! :-O

Iconic or not, I wish they'd let us rename things.
you initial clothing has your name on it, why can't your favorite other things you collect on your journey be allowed to do be labelled.

Huh I hadn't considered that.
Why you want to rename stuff?

I usually just look at their stats, then if I have two similar, I check how they look to decide.
Never actually considered their names.

To make the game more personal and add a tiny bit of role play.

I think that's what the iconic weapons and stuff are supposed to do.

Side note: Found a weapon with the ! now too, so I can't take it out of inventory! :-(
Some sort of ai smart gun.
I believe those are Johnny's items.
most of his things have that

The clothing is... the gun is not.

I want this changed to a mark/umark system so I can get rid of them if I want to.
It really annoys me that they're stuck there permanently!
That talking gun with the Ai in it you can't move it anywhere if you keep it.

LOL, I ran out of space getting the robot from Maelstrom, so started recycling things. At the time I didn't know that iconic weapons couldn't be re-built, since I thought I saw blueprints for them - only to later realise that the blueprints require the original weapon (in most cases!).

By the time I realised I had done many more missions, so no way was I going back just to get "Dyiing Light" again. Since I also forgot to steal Arasoka ex-boss's sword while in that mission, I guess I'll just have to have a few empty spots this time through...

I did that too, at the beginning... but it hardly mattered.

The only iconic weapon I actually cared about was johnnys, since it has that flame flash thing for melee attack.
That thing is incredibly effective since it procs the flame effect, basically disabling the enemy.

There's also certain legendaries, iconics included that can be crafted once you find the blueprint.
I found a tech revolver that was 1 shot per reload, it but it would one shot anything normal with a torso shot.... also since it was tech, it went right through walls! :-D

Nice!

I don't think I've found that one yet (unless I just haven't tried it - you wouldn't happen to know what it was called?). I have around three or so blueprints of iconics I could just craft from thin air, but they didn't seem all that special.

So far the best weapon I found was a Smart Assault rifle that could target up to five people at once. Not that this is all that useful, but it also happened to have the highest DPS compared to everything else I had at the time, which was surely just a function of when I happened to get it (because the itemisation in this game is retarded). That one was the one you win from the 6th street gang after coming first in their shooting gallery style challenge at that party they have.
