Didn't have any issues on startup or character creation, but at the start of a corpo character, I crash when I attempt to sit in
the chair in Jenkin's office. I've done this multiple times with different settings and after a restart, it crashes every time in the same place.

I did startup a street character, and when you are asked to sit in the beginning of that, I didn't crash. So just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar to this. My driver's are up-to-date so there shouldn't be any issue there.

Sounds like the same thing is reported in this thread, along with bug report info. "Crashing on Corporate Start" Might want to check there in case anyone has made progress.

Same problem, crashes when sitting on that chair everytime.

Have latest drivers installed.
same problem here
Same problem here too. Tested and happened three times in a row.

Just saw in the other thread it seems to be an AVX issue :(

Same here.
I get the following as the reason for the crash: EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION (0xC000001D)
I have an i7 970, so it was/is the AVX issue with me. I found a mod on NexusMods, called AVX FIX, that appears to fix this. It worked for me and I've tested two locations that gave me constant crashes, no issues now.

I'm not able to post a link, but I saw other posts with links. You can also google "Cyberpunk AVX Patch" and, for me, it was the top option.

To my knowledge, older processers lack the AVX instruction set. I don't know what the use is, but when the game gets to these portions where AVX is called and it isn't available, it crashes.

Is there an option to mark my own post as a solution? I'm not seeing one.

You can disable AVX in a Hexadecimal editor it worked for me
Change 554881ECA00000000F2970E8 to C34881ECA00000000F2970E8
Search BeigeUnicorns channel on YouTube i have a video walking through fixing this issue
