Hello!

This looks like something someone might be interested in. The game will be released on PS4 and X-Box One, and will be backwards compatible with the upcoming PS5 and X-Box Two. See the enclosed image.

Letting people have it for free for PS4 if they have it on PS5 or for PS5 if they have it on PS4 is hardly going to make big bucks, is it? Quite the opposite, really.

No but Cyberpunk is going to sell a lot of new consoles,don't you think? especially if it releases about that time. Which makes sense for CDPR and all included.

If someone is going to get a new console, it would either be for exclusives or for better tech. I'm having difficulty picturing someone with a PS4 buying a PS5 just for Cyberpunk alone, especially if it was already released for the PS4. There's also the issue of cost. A single game costs less than an new console, and that means a larger audience would be able to access it.

Will it? I'm not sure why it would, and I'm not sure why CDPR would care anyway? It's not like they're getting a kickback for each estimated additional console that Sony is selling because of CP77.

And so we end up back at the claim that CDPR are delaying the game for big bucks related to the launch of PS5. The claim just does not seem very well-supported.
