Long story short but in addition that it is very bad it does not click with my build and combat style since my character combat is usually just sitting in the corner hacking cameras and putting spells on the enemies. I occasionally shooting into somebody who is getting close and personal but most of the time I would like to be able to hear somebody trying to get close to me, which is completely impossible with this deafening "music".

So my question is there any way to disable that noisy "music" that is played in combat? I still would like to have ambient music, just not that noise that is played during the combat.

BY GOLLY, IF ONLY.

i used to love the car radio. but that was before i did a bunch of fighting. i was driving around, it was great, i was listening to jazz and stuff.
then i started hearing that guitar. that awful guitar. it never stops. sometimes you arent even fighting anything and it never stops. its like V has the worst taste in music ever and just plays the same song on repeat in their ear whenever they feel slightly threatened? sodumb so dumb so dumb.

why there isn't a separate slider for background ambient cinematic trash music vs in-world music? you'll have to ask the ABSOLUTE FOOL who thought that people who like immersion wouldn't want to turn off ALL BACKGROUND MUSIC. FULL STOP. and the same idjut who left the health bars, xp notifications, item notifications and yellow blips above enemies heads without an option to be disabled, too. maybe those people know why.

EDIT:
FOUND ONE ON THE NEXUS SINCE A MOD SERENITY HALALLUJAH

Dumbed down for consoles.
Consoles were and are the demise of gaming realism and "advanced" game options
Have you tried going into Settings and under volume, change the music volume to zero? The options underneath Misc has the ability to mute detection sounds and disable copyright music.

Did you read the part where I am asking about turning off the combat noise which the call "music"? I would like to hear all other music like ambient or radio just not that trash in combat.

I'm just suggesting you give it a try to see if it works or not? I'm willing to bet that all the music and music during fighting is all tied in-together.

Strange statement considering they paid way more attention to the PC version than the console version. They actually made it to run on PC first and foremost, their CEO guy admitted as much.

Consoles are for the poor people. PC gamers seem to have a common generalization in that they don't think they deserve a seat at the big boy gaming table.

The reason consoles exist is literaly to allow those who can't spend 3-10k on a gaming rig to be able to have a fair experience.

Also, this patch I saw actually improve consoles, by a few frames, just a few, but still. It was my poor family member who bought this on PS4, he will never forgive the company, ever again, and literally is never going to trust GOG from this experience again, either.

I'm trying to find a rational middle ground, as I have seen No Man's Sky, i just have heavy doubts..

It's a tragedy that people who do have the resources for PC hardware and purchase games, based on the lies of hardware manufacturers and developers, we end up with this debacle. IF a game is made for use on "advanced" hardware, them give those customers what the were promised. THEN "dumb" it down for the people who have alternate means to play.

Dude, you live in a nation that outright supports annual murders of tens of thousands of civilians without access to healthcare. PC's are the last things on many survivors minds..
The issues of anything you are taliking of have no relevance here.

What does is the game was promised on console, and that it ran suprisingly well on them, and hand picked footage was shown to SELL that lie.

VERY different than anything to do with some limitation.

The limitations were not the customers problem. If it could not run on them, don't sell it on them, move on to next gen console. As SEVERAl other developers and teams have in the past.

Oohhh, your political views have such bearing. Let me just pay homage to your super human abilities to see murder and mayhem. Pick any nation, then lets talk about civilian abuse and neglect. None of them truly care for the average person. Politicians all have agendas purchased by some driven entity.
And NONE of it has any bearing here.

So talking about hardware specs, dumbed down controls, and reduced game function has no bearing on "is there a way to ..."

Gotcha ... Dude

It still doesn't have relevance in the same sense. You know why? The game was not only promised on consoles of current gen it was sworn to run suprisingly well on them.

In other words if you make something that isn't designed for the platform you're selling it on, you let your customer know.

Now, whether I agree on the fact they certainly did not make the game for current gen consoles isn't the issue, the issue is they lied about it. Hence whether or not it's made for something else has no relevance.

The debate of who is using what platform matter not, it's the platform promoted, and backed by that company's promises that matter here.

This looks right. Going to check it out next time I am going to run the game. Thanks!

I don't understand. The person said consoles are the demise of gaming, but this game was made for high end PCs from the ground up. They even said they made it to scale down from PC to console. How is console gaming the demise here? And how does it even matter that consoles are for poor people? Where I live poor people don't even have electricity lol seriously WTF?

The game was made for PCs. It isn't a console gaming issues. They made it for PCs first. They even said they made it for PC first. This is why it runs better, looks better has more crowd density and etc on PC. They could do all of this for PC, but for some reason consoles stopped them from putting in a music slider? You've got to see how inane this line of thinking is.
