played CP77 back when it came out, did almost all side missions and what not so nobig reasons to play it again anytime soon even with these small free DLCs that have come out, i'm waiting for the big DLCs to make a new playthrough worth it so any news? release dates? what it will be about? will it take place in a new area or in night city?

Beyond "CDPR are working on an expansion"? Nope.
1.5 was released not too long ago. It might be a while before we see any major updates/content.
god i hope they dont stop woking on this game, there are still so many things that need to be done and could be done.

Time will tell, but I'm with you. I hope they keep adding more content and fleshing out the world.

I agree with you, too. It's such a rich environment and really looks great. So much more could (and should) be done with this world. My guess/hope is that CDPR is taking a page from Hello Game's playbook and keeping tight lipped about developments until they're ready. No Man's Sky was really skewered and reviled at launch and for quite a while afterward. Then, the flood of updates and improvements came, turning things completely around.

It's certainly frustrating not hearing any information, but I'm still holding out for much more to come.

I take exception to that: I still revile NMS :P
There is a "V's secret mansion" which was either cut content or part of a future DLC. In 1.5 it's inaccesible, but you can watch on youtube what it contained. Maybe we'll be getting adventures in outer space, who knows?

That's just an asset for one of the endings of the game. If you finish the game with Rogue or on your own, that's where you wake up in the epilogue.

That said, Cyberpunk in space would be neat. And the spaceport is already in-game, which is handy.
i honestly wouldnt even mind if we didnt get any new missions down the line, as long as we get more interactivity with the world itself, and few extra already ingame stuff. Like more clothing options, some npcs have some really cool stuff on them especially the female ones, but none of them are available in the shops. Or the ability customize my exterior look with more extreme visual cyber mods, for legs, arms, heads, etc. Or the ability to customize my cars, there are already different variations of the player cars in the game scattered around the city in parking lots and other places, no reason not to use them. More options for hacking the environment, like doors, the lack of consistency of what is hackable or not is quite frustrating. Animations for silent takedowns for every melee weapons, the fact that i cant choke or cut the head off of someone from behind with the monowire is baffleing to me, same with the knifes, axes, swords, or the mantis blade.
I could just keep going, im sure im not the only one who thought of these things, and i can only hope that someday all of these or at least a majority of them will make it in eventually. If not at least tell me that they are working on the next installment, it would be a waste to let this possible franchise to gather dust on some shelf.
I'm really looking forward to those game boundaries opening up a bit.

The ones that stop you going further, and a message appears along the lines of ..

"You cant go that way choomb ... yet"

I take that "Yet" as a promise from CDPR that they will one day be opened up to include more areas to explore.

Also hoping some of the rumoured underground areas will eventually be unlocked.

I dont think anyone knows of anything concrete yet though.
The only confirmed information is that they are working on an expansion and it is planned for this year ...
CDPR announced via Twitter that the expansion will be released in 2023.

As it was mentioned in @CDPROJEKTRED_IR financial call moments ago, Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming expansion will arrive in 2023. Please stay tuned for more details coming later this year

Money and investors took control over game development. CDPR is pathetic. The game is doomed.

WTF 2023? This already delayed game was released 10.12.2020!!!

Ignoring the whining in the first sentence, we have to remember that we're talking about a game that took over a year to truly get to a point where it was a smooth experience. They spent all that time developing fixes and optimizations. Now, the same people that whined about the state of the game on launch are the people whining that the expansion was delayed.

You can't have it both ways. Either you rush it and get a release that's very buggy or you can be patient and wait for things to be more smoothed out.
