Basically just a tech update. Improved upscaling features for all GPUs. Also appears to be performance improvements, noticed that my ray/path-tracing FPS numbers have improved by around 20-30fps from before. This could just be from me messing with my PC bios recently, not sure.

However, CDPR messed up with FSR implementation. They used 3.0 instead of 3.1 which means FSR frame-generation can't be used with XESS or DLSS. They also managed to make FSR look worse than 2.1 somehow. Enabling frame-gen also requires a game reset??

Remember that modders already had FSR frame-generation working with the other upscalers so why CDPR used a less-optimal implementation is beyond me. As an AMD user I am basically better off using XESS and AFMF2.

I'm glad they finally added FS3, although 3.1 would have been even better.

I agree with all you say. CDPR mistreat AMD users purposely,

Performance improvement where, exactly?

I have to lower everyting just to be playable with DLSS at quality: 'till 2.12, after a settings reset*, I could play with everything at ultra + path tracing + ray reconstruction @1440p with DLSS quality at 40~50 FPS (not First Person Shooter FPS, but I'm playing stealth so I manage), now I can reach the same FPS only with RT off and all settings at low...
If I set everyting to ultra but still RT off, with DLSS quality it barely reaches 30 FPS

I rate this patch as utter garbage performance wise.
Now I'm trying to see if there's a way to downgrade the game to the previous patch in GOG Galaxy.

* I'm aware that every patch after 1.6 messed completely the settings that needed to be re-set with a game restart (or the game would run at 8 FPS max), but now it's the tenth time in a row that I disabled/changed all settings, restarted and set them again like they were before the patch and I still get 1/5 of the FPS I had before.

The performance buff must've been on my side then. I'll run a benchmark test of my FPS on 2.12 and 2.13 (with offline installer) to see if I notice anything.

I did see some comments say their performance had decreased but doesn't look like a universal issue.

MrYod: ...
2.12

High, Quality FSR:
112.81 AVG, 95.91 MIN, 132.96 MAX

Ray Tracing Ultra, Quality FSR:
38.67 AVG, 32.96 MIN, 47.59 MAX

Ray Tracing Overdrive, Quality FSR:
16.61 AVG, 14.11 MIN, 20.51 MAX

Ray Tracing Overdrive, Ultra Performance FSR:
44.37 AVG, 38.02 MIN, 51.44 MAX

2.13
High, Quality FSR:
117.21 AVG, 98.78 MIN, 139.62 MAX

Ray Tracing Ultra, Quality FSR:
38.60 AVG, 32.89 MIN, 47.53 MAX

Ray Tracing Overdrive, Quality FSR:
16.57 AVG, 14.08 MIN, 20.39 MAX

Ray Tracing Overdrive, Ultra Performance FSR:
44.47 AVG, 37.96 MIN, 51.37 MAX

It seems the improvment I got must've been from tinkering with my BIOS. I can't be bothered removing my overclocks right now just to run a benchmark but I am fairly certain that I wasn't gettng these kinds of numbers previously. With that being said, I'm not getting any reductions in performance like you've been experiencing.

The FS3 implementation in Cyberpunk looked pretty bad the last time I tried it... For now I prefer to not use it.
