Hi folks.

I thought we could pool resources and list new, secret-y things that 1.5 brought into the game. I don't have much of a contribution, but to get the ball rolling:

-Death And Taxes (the iconic pistol you couldn't get in Woodman's office because it spawned inside a desk) is now in Judy's apartment, next to her workstation; (only not sure when it appears; all my characters are post-finished-campaign);

-the new scopes, muzzle brakes and weapons spawn only in Wilson's shop, in your mega-building, and only after you wait for 24 hours; I haven't seen anybody using them out in the world yet, or seen them in any other shops;

That's all I got. Anyone find anything else?
I found Death & Taxes in Maiko's office, when I went there with Judy in Ex-Factor. I know of the spawned inside desk-bug, but that worked fine in 1.31 too, at least it did for me last time. Didn't know it was ever present at Woodman's office.

Only weapon I've found at Judy's place was the "Mox" Carnage shotgun we get as a late gift during her romance missions.
I don't know if the change happened before 1.5.

I had spent 1000+ hours in the game when I decided to let it rest for a few months. The 1.5 release seemed like a good time to dig again into Night City. I noticed a lot of minor changes, places where there was loot or eddies now there aren't, no biggie. Then as usual, I start the pick-up mission, I walked into a hidden room to grab the Tsunami Ashura sniper rifle...and I was so disappointed when what was there were a pair of boots instead! I had designed so much of my strategy in that mission around this rifle!

Is the Tsunami Ashura still in All Foods but somewhere else? I'm willing to repeat the mission to grab it if I missed it.

I had to google "Tsunami" Ashura - I knew about the Ashura, but I thought Tsunami meant it was a unique I didn't know about. ^^

A lot of loot have been relocated or outright removed lately. Like the free legendary Nanowire in Watson. Some loot are also connected to the player level (always has been, as far as I know, except uniques).

I've never played around Smart Weapons, least of all the Ashura (always preferred the Nekomata Tech sniper, bought in Watson, Northside vendor), so I honestly cannot say there were one in the Maelstrom warehouse.

EDIT:
Scratch that. I've always gone for the later Sir John unique, making sure Meredith Stout came out on top (once I learned how). Damn, 5 times I've done this, and I still didn't know about that secret room...

Either that, or it's been locked with the way I play through it. When killing Royce, if that's what you do every time, does Meredith still show up after you get out of the warehouse? If she doesn't, then there's no Sir John later on (mission is "Venus in Furs"), meaning this particular Ahura is a definitie no-go for me.

Yes, after you kill Royce (I always side with Meredith) you walk in the opposite direction to where the ladder is, to the end of the room and there is a gate (is easy to miss), you open it and you can get where Royce was listening to you negotiating with Dun Dun, before the fight, once he leaves that room, the gate closes, but you can access this room again through the back door I mentioned. Before there was a lot of interesting loot and eddies there, among them the Ashura. Be aware that the "smart" part of the sniper is (was) activated only when you get the tattoo gift from Wakako (that is available only after the heist). It was nice then having a good sniper rifle so early in the game.
Uhh...is this some mission change in 1.5?
The quest line "The Beast in Me" features some secret options to obtain 2 cars. In 1.31 this was changed so the two cars are obtainable basically either way (and I know I screwed up the response option).

But there was a way to spare Sampson, or at least there used to be. Because now, on 1.5, Claire shot Sampson despite me following the tutorial to the letter.
https://youtu.be/bAQulZ0ZCFE?t=62

After the 3rd race, I chose the response option "My priority is winning" (I made damn sure of it). And I followed Sampson's damaged car ultil he crashed. And I did all the additional diolog options when Claire pulled her gun on him. And she still shot him.

What am I missing...?
I've done this mission before, on patch 1.06, and it worked fine then.

A bit more:

-in Yorinobu's penthouse, in Konpeki Plaza, there is now a terrarium with an iguana to the left of the elevator; behind the log, near the wall, there's an iguana egg you can pick up; not sure what for, but it's marked as a plot item;

-the two jackets that Vic puts in your stash work a bit differently now; depending on how many times you upgrade them (5 for epic, 12 for legendary), they become better items (as opposed to crafting a brand new item before);

That's actually a returning easter egg. Apparently, it was present in an earlier version of the game, then removed (...?), and now it's back again.

I remember checking the spot on an earlier playthrough, but the egg was not there, despite all the videos showing it was. While not knowing I was on a different patch than those videos.

But now it's back. I won't spoil anything, but you can place the egg in a bowl on the sofa in V's apartment.
"First to the key! First to the egg!" ^^

Okay -- I've put the egg in the bowl. Cheers mate! Can't wait to see what happens :)

The only new thing I've found is a game-breaking bug, unfortunately:

-the clothes you used to get in the closet in your apartment now spawn not 3 or 4 but close to 50 shirts, jackets and caps; and when I tried to put one on, the game crashed; (but I had no problem dismantling them for lots and lots of crafting parts)

Enjoy. :)

Just a heads up, it's going to take hours before anything happens. As in Real Time hours - sleeping or fast forward the time won't help (I've tried).
I don't know exactly how much time is needed as I had to use a teleport cheat to even get the egg, and I didn't check the ingame hour counter (insert Picard facepalm here), but it will take a while.

Yeah, duplicates of quest items really seems to be a thing this time. I got 4 jackets and 2 pants for Johnny. Also, I got 2 of Nash's rifle, Widow Maker.

One on his body, scaled nearly up to my level, and one on the ground next to him, at a really low level. Both of a Rare (Blue) variant.

A small correction (or over-compensation :)

-you now get TWO Death and Taxes pistols: one spawns correctly on Maiko's sofa, when you talk to her in Clouds' office (and not, like I thought, in Woodman's); then another one spawns in Judy's office, in her apartment, after you have the meeting about mixing things up in Clouds;

Oh -- and the "new" clothing mods system is dumb. The clothing mods (like Armadillo, etc.) automatically scale to the level of your crafting ability letting you ONLY make that level of mod.

Which means that if (just for example) you're hoarding white and green items you like the look of, but your crafting ability is at Rare (blue) level, you can't make anything that'll fit your (theoretically) hoarded clothes.

This makes my (purely hypothetical) inner hamster very sad :(

RIP stacking Legendary Fortuna mods for that sweet, sweet 100 % Crit Chance...

Plus Legendary clothing mods can now only be put on Legendary clothes.
Want to place a Predator on your Rare piece of eyewear? Well, insert Nedry "Ah ah ah! You didn't say the magic word" reference here.
Don't know if this is new or if I missed it on previous playthroughs but:

-if you have a high Tech rank when Jackie shows you his Arch, you can tell him "give it a proper exhaust" (so true); afterwards, when you get his bike, it'll be called something like "Jackie's Modified Arch", have 4 exhaust pipes and go up to 178mph (not sure if this last bit is different from the 2 exhaust pipe bike, or if I just never red-lined it before);

"Jackie's Tuned Arch" is exclusive to the Nomad lifepath. But that is not new with 1.5.

Sadly not strictly related to with perks or abilities (true, you need mid-level Technical Ability as Nomad to get it), because I LOVE the Nomad exclusive "Rattler" (car from the Nomad lifepath intro mission).

Mama Welles would kill me if she knew the reason why I don't get a scratch on the bike is because I don't use it. Not even the tuned version can compare to the Shion 'Coyote'.
Can almost hear Jackie from the other side: "Oil is going stale if you don't run the bike, chica!" Sorry, Jackie...

How can any car compare to a motorcycle? :P

I'm with you on the Rattler, though: it's a pretty awesome ride. I love the "lived-in" quality (bullet holes in the door, exhaust through the top of the hood). I don't know who designed it, but it FEELS like a car that's seen it's share of road life; more so, perhaps, than any of the other nomad vehicles...
