I have spent north of 300hrs on this game and this game could keep me interested for a few years, but I had to uninstall, because the pop-in in this game is insane. Assets appear after quite a few seconds. They appear and disappear just by turning around. Will they ever fix this for base last gen. consoles? Is the pop-in an issue for everyone else that doesn't have a high end rig? Or does this game just have an obscene amount of pop-in?

What do you mean by Pop-In? Do you mean like items that are shadowed or appear and disappear? Check your graphic driver or adjust to a lower setting may clear up this problem.

I'm running the game on a PS4 slim (the game was advertised to work on last gen consoles). 1.3 improved some of the much needed cosmetic aspects of the game, but the pop-in is getting out of hand. I pull into the After Life and wait for almost 30 seconds for the assets to appear, such as the parked cars and the people that are standing around. I walk in an alley and all of the assets are popping in and out. This is walking, of course, it's even worse when driving.

I am going to go for a PS5 later in the year and possibly a PC upgrade, but at moment, after they took out almost the entire population of Night City, the game should be optimized by now. I suppose I'll go back to playing RDR2 or Maybe the Witcher 3 for some open world stuff, which sucks because I really want to be in Night City lol but it won't render at an acceptable standard.

I don't have the system myself but I have seen and read that one of the worse versions of the game was for the PS4. This is why Sony removed the game from their system to allow it to be bought/downloaded until now. I do suggest trying the game on a PS5 or even a PC. I played and finished the game on PC and didn't have a single problem.
I have noticed that pop-in has been worse since the 1.3 patch BUT it runs better for me. It's not terrible, IMO, so I can deal with it but it would be nice if CDPR could figure out a happy medium or give us some sort of toggle.

Are you on a console or a PC? Because the Ps4 base version, the pop-in is really off the charts. I played a ton while the game was broken so I am patient, but it is wearing me down. lol

PC but I've seen previous gen versions, it definitely isn't fantastic lol

So the pop in isn't good on PC either? I was going to upgrade my PC for this game, now I'm kind of glad I didn't.

It's not terrible, it's way worse on old gen consoles, but it does still happen on lower settings.

I would but for me to upgrade to something like that just to play one game (I usually do the CRPG thing on my PC) is a bit much. Then again I would have to weigh my options going forward. Even after 300+ hours and months of fixes, this game is becoming a disappointment. I hung in there like that CEO guy ask us to do and I am not seeing even the most remedial improvements; namely pop-in. It has become such a immersion breaker...Oh well, thanks everyone for replying. I hope I don't have to upgrade or get a PS5 to play this game as it was advertised for last gen.
Yuuup.
471.41 drivers (same as used before patch), 3840x1600 Predator monitor, 2080AMP, 32mb memory, 10900k. DX11, no Rtx/Dlss.
Popin was barely noticable before the 1.3 patch, but since the 1.3 patch popin is about 50 feet in front of me.
VERY frustrating, VERY immersion breaking now, and also gives me a headache it is so bad.
It seems like the patch was geared more for consoles, or 1920x1080 play instead.

Also, I notice that 21:9 is now properly supported (YAY! ), BUT my view seems to be from the belt buckle, instead of other characters head view, which is also VERY annoying and VERY immersion breaking.

I play on console. So, if the patch was geared for consoles then they are not doing a very good job on either.
Heck, even with my new 3090 there is bad popin also.
:(

This sucks :/ I feel you. I could have easily played this game for a couple of years, but I am playing ESO instead, yeah that's how bad CDPR screwed this up. Imagine a janky game like ESO is getting play time over Cyber Punk...
