Yeah I just updated to the 1.05 patch, and it did about as much as the 1.04 patch did, piss all. All I got was a flat line error crash again as soon as I picked my background story. I'm refunding this. Might return to it and try again in a few months to a year down the road once the price comes down and it's actually more than a pre alpha tech demo, because this is ridiculous. I paid $60 for a game that literally won't even run on my PC even though I more than meet all the specs, smh.

To everyone who hasn't enough space on ssd for updating the game: in gog galaxy there is setting for temporary update directory. Just move it to another storage. I have the game installed on SDD (C:\games\gog\), I moved update directory to HDD (D:\tmp\gog\)

hello,
I just have the problem.
I moved the game from my 250GB SSD because the patcher needed 105 GB of free space, which that drive didn't have. but when I start the patcher now, it says 'this patch does not spport your version of the game'
but my version of the game is 1.04...
I don't know what to do... .

Did you notice there's different versions of the patch file for Galaxy version and offline install version?
Did you get the right one?

Same thing happened to me after I started to patch but I thought it locked up, turns out the patch takes quite long to patch, this puth my version in some kind of state that was not working, when I tried applying 1.04 again it game some errors in a log file and then finally finished with success and the 1.05 patch did not work and gave the same error message you are talking about.

I removed my game folder and installed the game again, applied patch 1.04 and made sure to wait until it finished for me, then I applied 1.05 and everything was fine.

I.e you need to reinstall the game.
