NecroHeather: Hi kreidos!
I'm sorry to hear that this is a frustration for you. We definitely want NecroDancer to be available to as many players as possible. You're right that Galaxy is optional, that said without Galaxy we'd be providing an inferior version of the game without leaderboards or achievements.
Thank you for your response and welcome to GOG, while I understand your company thought this would be a fair and good idea, believe me it's going to make a lot of people angry (it probably already has) and me included.
I would rather have the so called "inferior version" than nothing at all. Personally I don't care one bit about achievements or leaderboards, just wanted to enjoy the damn game.
I'm sorry if I'm sounding rude to you, but I'm just very disappointed and upset at such a decision. Can only say that I was interested in this game. Please forward this to your team and reconsider your decision.
EDIT: Only now I saw your last post.
Keep in mind the community here enjoys DRM-Free games, now if you come and say we won't release the games because Galaxy is not on Linux and we don't want to provide the game without features X,Y,Z then that is like saying "we're enforcing players to use Galaxy to play this game", believe me that will scream as loud as possible and people don't react well to DRM in games on GOG.
By the attitude of your posts, you can forget that I will ever buy this game and future ones from your company. I'll vote with my wallet and I choose to give my money to more open minded devs.
