Win7 pretty normal setup here, but for some reason this ~1GB game doesn't want to install. It starts to install and the progress meter comes up, but it hangs and stalls around like 5% as if it wanted to take 6 hours to install a 1gig game. What the hell?

Edit - For anybody with the same issue, the install goes very very slow at the start, but then once it gets up to around 10%, it takes off and installs the rest in minutes. My total install time on my standard HDD (not an SSD) was about 20 minutes, pretty crazy for this 1.4 gig game and about five times as long as it took to download lol but at least it finally installed.

Thank you! I was tempted to terminate the installer until I came across this post. Took about 30 minutes for me stuck at 5% then it quickly finished up within a couple minutes. Windows 10, even with an SSD. Seemed to be doing more with the CPU than the disk.

I checked my ssd and cpu activity and restarted the installer several times thinking that the download was corrupt, but it turns out that the winning move was not to care.

Thank you for having the patience that i did not. I quit the installer maybe 3 times or more and redownloaded, too. Turns out I'm just an impatient git. Then I read this post and just walked away for awhile...

Glad I came across this, would of taken me ages to figure it out. If ever. SO yeah, did the same as most here, quit installer, redownloaded, etc...guess there are just SO MANY files in this title that it takes this long even on a SSD? Installer should almost come WITH A WARNING because this is like THE ONLY game that even does this...25 minutes for a 1.5Gb game to install? Bizarre coding or file structure, or probably someone just messed up with creating the installer. PATCH THIS INSTALLER! Can you imagine how many people just gave up entirely without bothering to come to this forum to see if this is intentional?
