Anyone know how to change the field of view for Cryostasis?
There are relevant-looking options in Data\Scripts\init.cfg , but when I change them, they change back to the default 80 when I launch the game. Messing with config.cfg doesn't work either.

Also I get some pretty heavy mouse lag in this game. My framerate seems fine, vsync is off, and according to init.cfg, mouse acceleration should be off.
Any ideas?

I found a solution. Enabling the console and changing the FOV through it works, though at certain points in the game (cutscene-type moments) it will revert back to default, and you have to set it back again. Very annoying, but as good as it's going to get, it seems.

You can enable console by accessing Cryostasis\Data\Scripts\init.cfg and changing d.consoleh to 1
The command to change the FOV is r.fov 90 (or whatever)

I haven't found anything to address the mouse lag, but it seems to get a lot better past the starting area. Good enough to play the game at least.

1. Open these files with a text editor:
<path-to-game>\Data\Scripts\init.cfg
<path-to-game>\Data\Scripts\game\movie_proc.s
<path-to-game>\Data\Areas\BIOS91\Scripts\startup.cfg
2. Find the first instance of r.fov 80 and change 80 to the desired FOV in all three files.
3. Save the changes.

I did find despite the relative age of the game it seems to be pretty demanding in terms of specification. You don't post what you're running it on but could it be because of your machine?

I did this and it didn't work, fov in-game is still 80. I went back to the files to see if the game had reverted my custom value to 80 again but no, it was still 90 but for some reason, in-game is still 80
