The arrows that would allow me to navigate from floor to floor are completel greyed out (un-clickable), and i cant build a second floor.

I cant get the stair case to trigger anykind of second floor grid either.
Its like the option doesn even exist :(

I am at the section of the game where you need to build a private room for some rich chick.
I wanted to build it on the second floor but i cant.
This is my first play through and am hoping that i just missed something, but it doesnt seem like i have.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks for the response.

Yeah, it turned out to be locked still :).

But sadly the path finding is so bad the next floors help very little anyways.
Spent more time trying to work around bugs than playing the game it self.... and im 55hours.

It has has sooooo much potential, but needs crap ton work.

Edit:
Also I have no idea why the hell my staff wont focus of sweeping.
I have ten staff set only on cleaning and yet my Inn is non stop filthy.
Even when i close my inn they take an eternity to actually start cleaning the floors and it only ends up being a few staff while the others just stand around. the shit drives me nuts.
Just incase you are wondering my staff has only positive traits. So they are suppose to be hard workers..... and yet, nada.

I am starting to suspect that "innkeeping" = sweeping. I think that "cleaning" = when you see them with the hand with sponge icon. Not fully confirmed.
