2 days ago I managed to do the classic mistake: new motherboard, and with that a new Windows install.

I did make a backup of Saved Games and the Documents folders, but I forgot all about Appdata (which is hidden by default btw), where CrossCode stores its saves.

I was about 150 hours in, having completed the game once and almost again in New Game+ (with Sergey's Hax, Truly Balanced, Devil Trigger etc.), having 2 of just about all the gear, including the Arena gear and all the pets.

I recently purchased the A New Home DLC, and was looking forward to ditch my party members and go to Shizuka's hideout to finish the new game+ playthrough before proceeding with the DLC.

But after Windows was up and running again, the game reinstalled...no saves detected. :'(
And no, I don't use GoG Galaxy (or ANY game client), even if that could have stored a backup save in the cloud.

So please, if anyone could share a similar save with me, I'd be extremely grateful!

EDIT:
I can't really prove I'm not just lazy and looking for save to not bother with the game myself, but I have posted some assistance with a decent grind route here (last post):
https://www.gog.com/forum/crosscode/gaia_garden_is_very_unbalanced

I probably wouldn't know that without having played the game rather exessively already. :)

Hello I can share you my save data but I am sure I only completed the main game...I don't think it is 98% ....If you are interested let me know.
Of course I'm interested - even if it's not up to where I was, that would just serve as a proper punishment for my dumb self not making sure I made a backup. :D

Yes, please, if you could share your save with me, that would be a great help. Not really sure I could find it in me for quite some time to start all over. <3

If you have done the monks quests in Bergen Village, you've already done something I frankly gave up on. ^^

Ok here is my save file then. I hope that it helps you, although it has been a long time since I completed the game and can't remember If I have finished that quest you were asking.

My dude, you have managed to beat the one quest - "Peace of Mind" (Bergen Caves with all handicaps) - that I had frankly given up on, and that makes your save better than my own could ever be!
You also have the "Gotta help them all"-achievement, which I didn't have (due to those darn Bergen monks xD), but otherwise, this looks pretty identical actually. You even got all the chests too! <3

I'll do the grinding (was level 99, with Emilie at level 87) again, but that just serves as just punishment for myself for messing up in the first place.

THANKS A LOT!!

Btw, you also had all the items required for the rest of the Trail Boosters (purchased at the Rhombus Square booster shop, next to the Equipment shop), which are required to get all the best gear (makes enemies harder, and unlocks new drops).

If you were looking to keep going in the game, you certainly had the perfect save game for it. :)

No problem Glad it helped you.. If I remember correctly I do miss some achievements and to obtain them I have to start a new game plus.....So I am planning to do that once I purchase the DLC (currently I have a big backlog :) )

You did - pretty much the same ones I missed / failed on my first run: win every dungeoun race against Emilie and win every round against Apollo.
You're also missing X number of ranged hits, melee hits, shield guards and defeated enemies, but that's just grinding.

But once you set that Sergey's Hax (1-hit everything) in the NG+ menu, all of those will be a breeze, trust me. :D
Emilie will always beat you in the first trial dungeon, that's scripted, but the other 5 - the Temple Mine, Faj'Ro Temple, So'Najiz, Zir'Vitar and Grand Krys'Kajo - are timed events.

Note that any setting applied in the New Game Plus menu CANNOT be changed or disabled later in the playthrough. So choose wisely. ;)

And I know all about such backlogs - Black Mesa, Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite, all of the Metro games, and I recently bought Control, The Surge / Surge 2, Wolfenstein New Order / Old Bllod and Wolfenstein II.

Sadly, all of the above have to be postponed indefinitely due the little annoying things called "life, work and paychecks". :/

This save was just perfect! I really cannot thank you enough for it!
I had already planned to do a NG+ re-run, just to refamiliarize myself with the game, before proceeding with the DLC.

Say, if you want, let me know if you want the save back when you're ready to start on that DLC sweetness.
I've done some grinding (5 levels up already), including some booster drop loot grinding and aquiring some of the old gear I had in my own save.

I've finished a couple accumulated achievements too (more points for NG+), like enemies killed, balls thrown and melee hits landed. Not looking forward to doing the 4000 guards. That one took forever - and just 2965 to go! xD

If I find enough time to make it, you'll have level 99 and literally everything when you start that NG+ / DLC. It's the least I can do in return!
Note: keeping the gear is a 500 point option in the NG+ menu, so make sure to tick that check box. ;)

Sure whenever you are done I would like the save file....I really don't want to do all that grinding :P ...I Just want to jump straight to the DLC when I purchase it . :)

Not really sure how the DLC works and how to enter it, but my understanding is that you can enter it once you get to "space" (having beaten Vermillion dungeon). There, you can either go forward or backwards.

Going backwards will send you back to before taking the Turing test (which I really hope you did at this point ^^). Going forward just led to a text saying "there will be more content in the future", which at this point I can only surmise is the DLC. :)

All I remember is the grinding and the NG+ playthrough...I don't remember a damn thing about how to traverse the Vermillion dungeon, so that should be interesting. xD

EDIT:
The level grind should take about 11 IRL hours until level 99. Seriously, didn't you do ANY grinding on your playthrough? xD
Currently at level 68, 0 XP - each "grind lap" takes ~1 minute to complete and yields 50 XP per lap. 20 laps / 20 minutes per level-up. Laps can be done indefinitely while in S-rank.

EDIT 2:
Make that level 69, 0 XP....aaand that's level 70. And now, level 87 (no typo). ^^

EDIT 3:
And that's level 99. Was awhile back now. Grindng my way through the Rhombus Arena, finding it to be way more tilting than expected. Though I had Sergey's Hax last time...

Taking almost no damage, check. Completing the round without consumables, check. Completing the round within the time limit, check. Killing the monsters using the intended triggers, check. Here's the Silver Award. Want to try again? AARGGHHH!!!

Okay, status update:
Level 99, all achievements possibly done without a NG+ (you missed 1 dungeon race against Emilie and lost 1 PvP fight against Apollo). 100 % quests (something I gave up on in my save, with the Bergen Monk trials...).

Obtained all the Arena gear, but still missing several pets, plus the "Menacing Aura" (all of that is MUCH easier to get with Sergey's Hax in NG+).

Still missing some log entries, I have no idea what or where the game even expects me to get those.

Am atm. in Space, ready to just walk forwards and start the DLC.
Do you want the save back now? :)

And I just remembered...have you done the console exclusive mission? There are 4 secret locations in the PC-version you have to get to to unlock it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlvWpiF6T8Y

There is also a secret Santa Clause quest, where you get his hat, done from Bergen Village.
I have to look into that one, because I know I did it on my old save.

EDIT:
The Santa Clause quest is done through a secret code.

Gonna do that now. :)

I probably missed those console exclusive missions. I can't remember doing them. The only thing that was a real pain was the dungeon races. I seriously hate them because I had to follow some walkthroughs but even then I couldn't complete all of them very fast.

Both bonus / secret missions are now taken care of. But I did a separate save just prior to them in case you want to do them yourself. :)
But at level 99, with all the best gear, they weren't much trouble. ^^

And if it's any consolation...I lost ALL of the dungeon races against Emilie. I didn't even know there were an actual race, much less a specific time window on them. I just wanted to have fun and explore everything.

Having to resort to some walkthroughs myself, I only then learned about the races. And as I had already lost 1 at that point, I didn't care about the other 2.

I'll get myself back into space and send the save back to you. Shouldn't take more than Some™ minutes, as I have to sit through the credits before I get there...

Say, do you have the Ninja Skin?

Nope don't have the ninja skin. Will probably purchase it together with the expansion when I plan to play the game again :)

Another update:
I'm almost done with the NG+ run. Thanks to your hard work in the game before you so kindly sent the save to me, we now have 100 % (!!) of the trophies unlocked.

That means 15.500 NG+ points (aka all of them) should you want to start an NG+ game yourself at some point. My NG+ game includes (if you choose to use the NG+ save for the DLC run, I've been told this WILL transfer over):
- Everything carried over from the regular save (trader info, add-ons, credits, equipment, consumables etc.)
- Sergey Hax (constantly deal insane damage - which I have managed to disable through a save game editor)
- Credits x2 (edited to x4)
- Droprate x2 (edited to x4)
- Truly Balanced (elemental overload disabled)
- Devil Trigger (infinite SP)

And thanks to Sergey Hax, I have 72.500 arena coins. There are 1000 coins still missing, but I don't understand what the game wants me to do in those 2 fights - a Silver badge is all I ever get, whatever I do.
Still, even if I purchased everything left in the arena shop (only pets and an aura at this point), I'd still have 36.000 coins left. However, there are new purchasable content with arena coins in the DLC, so I'll save the 72.500 coins for our convenience in the DLC.

And lastly currently 5.642.259 credits. I had 9.999.999, thanks to Sergey Hax and the ever spawning enemies in the Vermillion Tower (seriously, there were so many guard robots on the map in the end, my 10-core i9 10900K CPU actually started to struggle xD), but I spent a ton (something like 7 Million) on getting 99 of everything in the "elite consumable" shop in Rhombus Square. So, enjoy. ^^

I am soon done with my NG+ run and will start over on the A New Home DLC. Tried it a bit on the regular save, but got too used to the staying infinitely in an element mode in my NG+ run. ^^
Not wanting to spoil anything, but of the little I've seen of the DLC, you'll really like it.

I'll get to "space" in the NG+ run (starting point of the DLC), and then I think I am ready to send the save back to you.
Could possibly be already this weekend if you want me to. :)

There will be a regular save and an NG+ save to start the DLC with. And separate saves to do the "Holiday Man" Christmas easter egg mission, though just for the sake of checking it out, as I've already done it (to do it, load "save 4 - Bergen Village - Bergen South", and you'll find the guy in the Santa Clause constume).
