I saw that steam had released creatures, and was wondering if any support was coming to gog.
Beg pardon?
steam released a version with no need to edit startup, mall breeds, fixed kits, and a newer patch than exodus. I was wondering if GOG was updating to any of this and if anyone knows.

Maybe. Depends on how nice the publisher is feeling. Give em' a poke.
God, it's also in widescreen?? We deserve this here on GOG!
I really hope the individuals who published on GOG can work something out with those who republished on Steam, because the series is getting fragmented. I have a CD version of Exodus/DS, a GOG version of C1, C2 and C3; and now we have the Steam editions which are different.
This is pretty late, but it should be noted that the Creatures Mall Norns, as well as the Science Kit and now the Creator Tools are treated on Steam as free DLC for Docking Station, which is itself free. So you can just get all of those off Steam and transfer the relevant files over.

I haven't checked, but if it is possible to dock GOG Creatures 3 to the Steam Docking Station you might be able to use the engine changes and such from the Steam versions. (Obviously this only goes for C3 stuff, not the fixes and added content for Creatures 1, 2 and Village.)
We now also have access to the games on GOG.
