I am currently working on a release that will contain all of the original campaigns plus my campaign and all of the single missions from EW and AOW, as well as switchable MOD1.

You can get a preview here (extract to your root BTW). Keep in mind, this is only a preview of the work and requires vanilla BTW. So far only the campaigns have been implemented:

I've installed the preview Ultimate Pack. It's great, it even contains the Tutorial from European Wars and the packhorse bug is fixed (thanks!).
Unfortunately, I don't really have time to play the campaigns. When I have some time, I'll check them out and let you know if I find a bug.

FIRST, I really would like to thank you for your great effort on making the ultimate back and the new campaign (Over the horizon). I really like the story and the role play in it. I know it is not something HUGE, but I really enjoy it.


SECOND, speaking of your campaign, I face a serious annoying issue with it. Don't worry, it works perfectly fine with me. I am not talking about a bug or something. I am talking about the forth mission "Conquistador". It is FREAKING HARD!!! Like how am I supposed to beat the Spanish forces with my small army. I find extremely hard to beat. Therefore, I would like you to give some hints and tips how to beat this mission. Cause I feel like I am missing something. I could use a cheat to beat the mission immediately, but I don't want to use them, I really like to complete it fairly with no cheats.

thank you for your kind words!

As you are aware, I tried to re-create some of the feel of the original Cossacks campaigns. As you know, some of the original missions are very hard :) That said, I play tested my missions numerous times, so you can be sure they are beatable.

I will give you a hint: the key to mission 4 are mortars and stand ground. Also remember: you don't have to stop the ENTIRE enemy army, just kill off a certain percentage to win.

I will do another play test and give you more hints if you need them.

PS: Sorry for the late response, I have a lot of IRL stuff to do so I can't check the forums as often.

I know that you may be busy in real life and also this is an old post. Therefore, I prepared myself to wait for a long time to receive a response, if you were going to respond at all. So I really appreciate your reply nonetheless.

For the hint, I will try it and tell you what I got, but when you said "mortars" I believe you mean the Howitzers cause there were no mortars in the mission, right?!

Yes, sorry, I meant howitzers. Try to block the center road and the west hill. You can completely ignore the east hill (some of the enemy may escape). The trick is to have some men remaining and take out the cavalry. After you take out some of the cavalry you will get a message and win.

I finally passed the 4th mission and your advice was very helpful. The trick was mainly to take out the enemy's howitzers as early as possible before causing much damage to your troops. Also, as you said defeating most of the second wave of cavalry was essential to victory.

However, I concluded to take over one hill instead of both hills cause I don't have much troops to cover them both obviously. In fact, I took the east hill, but of course you can take any one of them.

Thank you again for replying to my questions. Sure, you really succeeded in making the missions very hard. I played the next mission (5th mission) and it is overwhelming because of the vast land you control and short period of time before they start to attack to figure out what you need to do. To be honest, I tried the mission only once and failed horribly, so I will give it another try and try to hold the enemy back longer. I hope the French reinforcement will hurry up to arrive to help me.

Unfortunately for some reason I think the wave 2 is bugged in mission 5 but I'm not sure. I don't understand what is happening since I tested it a million times. :-(

I will check the code when I get the time, maybe this weekend.

Please report if wave 2 enemy transports get stuck in mission 5. Maybe it's just me. I'm puzzled.
