I had zero issues with Control when I last played it (had about 8 hrs logged in it when I stopped playing about a year ago). Booted it back up and now it hard crashes my PC. No error codes, just PC straight up shuts off, then turns on after 2 seconds. It can last one minute or ten minutes, but inevitably crashes. Latest Nvidia drivers, RTX 2080. Anyone else experience this?

Yes, it's been happening to me too. RTX 3080. Perhaps it's windows 11? That's the only difference (other than nvidia drivers) I can think of since I last played. I'm about 5 hours in and I've had loads of freezes, crashes, and other bugs.
It might not be a fix but I have a similar issue before with a different game and it turned out to be my headphone issue / It appear it was a known issue with the headset and that its was a driver update bug. I have to uninstall the module and reinstall it again to fix the issue.
I had a similar experience while playing, win10.
Mine didn't explicitly crash the entire system, but it might've as well. It'd essentially freeze everything, and I'd be forced to restart the computer, in which the game would run normally again.

So, from my experience, if you keep your computer on for "too long", and playing "for too long", there will some weird ass memory leak or another, in which you cannot play at all unless you restart your game.
