Hello everyone,

when I start the game (no matter DX11 or DX12) the game starts showing the intro videos but just before loading the menu it just crashed back into windows without any warnings or errors.

The run part is, I have the exact same issue with Deus Ex Mankind Divided. There people on steam suggested creating a new windows account. So I did and it did work there. Also tried running control on a new windows user account and it worked without issues (both DX11 and DX12).

Does someone know any difference, why my normal windows account would be an issue and a new windows account seems to work fine for both games? Anyone has any ideas what the difference between accounts might be?

Hey thanks for the hint. I do not have any strange characters, but my "documents" folder has, and I assume that this is the place the makes the game crash when it wants to create a new profile/save or something like that. Checking and changing to English characters made it work
