Escodrion: Well, yeah, but if you don't have an installation disk you do this. Do you have a better idea right now? Because if you have I wouldn't mind hearing it... By the way I tried VirtualBox and it doesn't work on it, so VMplayer is a must have.
I managed to get it to work in VirtualBox, no problems. I think the VirtualBox issue has to do with having Hyper-V installed or enabled in Windows 8 pro, from what I read in the Oracle forums.
I would not have even looked at any of this were it not for your effort and detailed instructions, thank you. The only thing I don't like is using that "antiWPA"... I think I have a spare copy of XP laying around though, so I will just use that if I can dig it up. I wish MS would just release the XP mode for free to Win 7 and 8 users-- no WPA needed.
Funny, I have Win 8 pro (from a Windows 7 upgrade), but Hyper-V is not present... oh well, VirtualBox works just as well.
