I purchased Conquest: Frontier Wars recently and it has been working fine but now, without reason, starting it up gives me a blank screen for a second then the game is minimized to the taskbar. If I click on it to maximize the screen goes black, I can hear audio but then the returns to the taskbar. I've restarted, alt-tabbed and all those things and this is really starting to annoy me.

Unpack where to either, and perform file Settings.reg, should help, also pre-reinstall the game.

I'm not understanding this, please be more specific.

Inside the archive is a file Settings.reg, you must run this file and confirm. This file will fix the registry information for CFW. Do not worry it's not a virus. :) Even if it does not help, it will not hurt for sure.

It is also desirable to reinstall the game. Delete game completely, then reinstall it, then start the file Settings.reg

Does the settings.reg need to be in the CFW folder or just wherever?

Too little information is necessary to describe in more detail the problem
1) What is your windows?
2) At what stage you, the screen goes black
      a.) immediately after the start of the game
      b). step Menu 
     с.) after loading the game.

When a black screen, press the "Esc", and tell what happens after that.

Running on windows 7, occurs directly after start up (doesn't even get to the intro videos), pressing ESC doesn't do anything. The game was running fine for a few days but then this happened without any apparent reason.

It seems that having problems with video and audio codecs. Install these codecs here my build them specifically for the game All Codec for CFW and C2-VU

You've done a complete reinstall of the game?

Did a full re-install and installed the codecs and still nothing, I'm going to try re-downloading to see if that helps.
