I was wondering if I could play this game with the mouse only? I have played Shadow Tactics: Blads of the Shogun with the mouse entirely and I wanted to know if I can do the same with this game.

You can, as every weapon and option (excluding calling the menu with the Escape key) can be done with the mouse, but the games in this series are very timing-intensive, especially in later missions, so hotkeys are needed to minimize delay on the actions you want to do.

Sorry, what do you mean by the games in the "series are very timing-intensive".

In all Commandos games, you have to time your actions. You need to keep track of when enemy soldiers turn around, where they patrol, and what their sight covers at a given moment. You can't go at them up front, you'll lose immediately. Also, badly timed movements (misclicks or bad calculations on the player's part) can also cost the commandos their lives, so if you don't save very often, it'll be quite a frustrating experience.

Okay, thanks for the prompt response. I'll give the series a go.
