Hi - any way to get commandos 2 running at 1920x1080, or just higher than 1024x768? Also, what is the 'low memory' option in the graphics settings & how does it affect performance? Thanks

Low Memory: No idea, but most likely this is not needed on modern systems anymore

How does this fix look? It doesn't distort anything?
No I used the pre-patched files and it worked perfectly fine.

It should be Hor+ and you don't need them.

What do you mean I don't need them?

Just that. You could always hex edit the file yourself or just use UniWS like it states at the beginning. Might want to check if Flawless Widescreen also supports it. IIRC, you have one or the other installed.

In theory at least. I should probably mention I haven't tested it.

He does manage to make hex editing the file sound easier. Don't personally own this one. To override in-game 1280x1024 to 1366x768:
Backup comm2.exe.
Open comm2.exe for editing using a hex editor.
Search for the hex string

change it to

change it to

Run the game, and under "Options" select 1280x1024 you hacked (it will still be listed as the original resolution).

Sorry but that is out of my league. I'll just play it the way it is.

Thanks, but no idea how to do that! Isn't there something where you can just open a file and change res settings?

That's what you are doing just in hex. The res settings are in the .exe itself. I'm curious which part do you have "no idea how to do that"? The string search (find/search button), downloading a hex editor, copying comm2.exe...
I'll grant you most hex editors' UIs are quirky enough that it's not particularly hard to mess up an edit. In which case you just copy the original .exe back and play it the way it is.

I've just tested the link. Everyhing thing is working fine. Maybe you should try another browser/computer.
