I have a question concerning the primary objective of mission 4 in Men of Courage. Normally I set Ghurka ambush on the bridge, supported by Driver and Molotov Cocktails. And it was enough with trial and error to kill him and most of his escort.
But I got curious. Is it possible to kill without the Bridge massacre? Does he walk to the specific point on the map? If yes, what happens when 'Duke' kills him?

My memory is a little foggy, but I don't think it matters where he gets killed. I, for one, have never set the ambush at the bridge (which, now that I think about it, is weird, as that seems like a good place to do so). As far as who kills him, I don't think it really matters.

HIDE THE GURKAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You absolutely DO NOT NEED TO AMBUSH ANYTHING OR ANYONE. The key to winning this mission is stealth.

The sooner the enemy sees anything remotely suspicious they will duck and cover and most importantly THEY WILL HIDE YOUR TARGET making him virtually impossible to get.

I have won this level countless times and here is a brief rundown over how I do it.

I stick all of the Gurkas in the radio tower along with one of my men (usually Lupin because he so damn fast) and stick all of my other guys (minus Duke) prone as close to the ferry as they can get without getting in it (you may have to experiment here because you want to make sure the procession doesn't see your boys hiding down there.

Put Duke up on the pole at the river's edge, switch to Lupin, send the message, hurry hurry get Lupin back out of the tower (jump out if you have the health) and get him back hiding with the rest of the team.

Your target will be in a car, sometimes he gets out sometimes not, but if you put a shot into the back side window you should kill him (his blue clad body should come flopping out dead). QUICKLY get Duke back down (jump don't climb) gather all of your men including the Llama and get their assess into the boat. If you are quick enough a cut scene should run and you win.

There is a very simple way to kill the objective, without firing a single bullet. You don't need ANY ambush here to kill the enemy leader, nor your sniper climbing any tube. Ghurkas can hide in the sewers. The rest of your men and the guy you have to rescue should be hidden in the building near your escape point (a boat, if I remember well). They will pass away the bridge and form in front of the statue. It seems everybody walks over all the place, but you can place the mantrap in a spot where ONLY the enemy leader walks over. Once he is killed, you should get into the boat.

edit: of course, you should have hidden ANY corpse in the way
