It defaults to X360 controller even if it's not plugged in. Wired works, but I don't have a wireless to try.

A note. The gamepad won't be detected unless it's plugged in before hand. Suggested it's the only one active, and if you unplug it in the middle of the game it won't recognize it again until you reload the entire game.
