So every time I start up my computer since "trying" to install Chronicles of Riddick (couldn't get it to work even after following the forums, uninstalled) I get this message:

"Download updates for Tages Protection
Tages Protection has been blocked from running because it might prevent your computer from starting correctly in the future."

It's great that my computer has blocked it but I want it gone permanently. How do I remove this driver?

I completely regret this purchase with GOG, no more purchases from me which is unfortunate considering GOG is usually really awesome.

do you have a game that uses TAGES as well? eg. STALKER Clear sky or the X-series I have noticed that for some reason this can cause problems.

but you can follow their advice here:

http://www.tagesprotection.com/
click activation and there should be a link to instructions on how to remove tages drivers from your system.

But in general this is odd that this game has problems as it is DRM free, maybe GoG didnt do a proper job removing it :\

Thanks, that did the trick.
No, I've never had problems with TAGES before. I "was" careful of that when I buy games. Yeah GOG did an awful job with this game, I definitely recommend steering clear of it.

Unfortunately I doubt I can get a refund for this awful purchase. :\

I bought it and after wrestling with my anti-virus a bit, it runs fine now, it just that I had clear sky installed and that was causing my issues with it.

TAGES sadly become so ingrained that the EXE needs it to run, so sadly removing it completely was not an option so they opted to disable it, but yeah after some checking the TAGES in Riddick is offline, kaput, disabled, it just that TAGES scans for its own DLL's which is annoying, doubly so in this case.
installed great runs great and no issues, 8x64 with beta drivers on everything here... no antivirus flags nothing and i have the stalker pack installed though steam...
