I not usually irate about purchases but this is currently unplayable for me.
Runs so utterly slow I cant even progress further then "Press Enter".

AMD Phenom (6core / 3.2ghz)
12 Gigs Ram
ATI HD6750.

I've tried just about everything. Including disabling CCC.

DIsable the Catalyst A.I and you should be fine:

1. In CCC set up your AA & AF settings, make sure that Catalyst AI is set to "High Quality", and make sure that the "Enable Surface Format Optimization" check box is unchecked before continuing.

2. Search for a file named 'Profiles.xml'. Mine was located here:
C:\Users\Eder\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles.xml

3. Right click on the file once the search is done and select "Edit".

4. Find 'CatalystAI' and change Enable to Disable

5. Now run the MOM.exe file. Mine was located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\MOM.exe

6. Restart your PC and you should be set.

I've done both of the fixes provided in the thread and the game still runs like a slideshow. I've also set the game to run as administrator in both standard, and compatibility mode with Windows XP SP 3. I've disabled all antivirus software as well.

Specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Intel i7 920
12 GB RAM
Radeon HD 6790 (drivers 12.6)
I've also uninstalled the CCC completely, to no avail.

Just wanted to update, I contacted GoG support and the issue was related to my dual monitor setup. I disabled the second monitor and the game now runs flawlessly.

Thats a solution no one (including myself) never thinks of. When you run a game always shut down your second monitor. It really helps performance in some games.

@Starkrun Thank you, worked like a charm. I have bigger resolution, but works with it as well.
Before it was really unplayable, now it goes smooth and well.

but the tweaked cfg don't help
