I ask this as (I think) GoG has the license to work/patch this game. I think it would be a great idea for any GoG release to be updated, as long as the game support PC controllers, to include a patch that has the button icons.

If not is there someone that created a mod for this? What I'm asking for shouldn't be very hard, I think.

I'm thinking of buying the game but only if it can be played with the x360 controller. Can it?

Yes it can. It doesn't display the buttons, but you'll get used to it quickly.
