I've noticed a bug with the COTN installer (setup_children_of_the_nile_2.0.0.4.exe) where if the user wants to cancel at the first screen, the installer will not exit properly. The error occurs in Windows 7. I have re-downloaded the setup program from GOG and the issue still occurs multiple times.
To repeat the bug, load up the installer, but click the X to close the window (don't install anything). While the window goes away, the program will continue to run and use more CPU cycles and it will slow down the computer. When the installer refuses to close, the user will have to go into Task Manager to try to manually stop the program. However, task manager will refuse to stop it, so the user will have no choice but to restart the computer to fix the problem.
Is GOG aware of this issue? I've only noticed this problem with the COTN installer.
