so the game is great but it is showing up with black borders around the game, on all 4 sides and corners as though it is in the wrong resolution but it is the correct resolution. and i have tried messing with my windows graphics settings and aspect ratio in my video card settings and it isnt being fixed.

I spoke with soapstone about this in our Discord. They have a somewhat odd monitor resolution of 1360x768. The game has a native resolution of 384x216 and does not evenly scale into the monitors, forcing it to use 3x scaling so nothing is cut off. If you are in a similar situation you can force it to various scaling factors by editing the config.ini file in My Documents\Chasm. In his case he forced it to 4x, cutting off some of the game but filling out the screen:

Scaling=4
FullscreenAutoscale=0
Fullscreen=1

didn't work for me. are you sure that's how you did it?
That should work, but you have to add the FullscreenAutoscale=0 line to the config.ini since it doesn't ship with it. You are editing the config.ini in My Documents, not in the game folder right? Also what is your desktop resolution?
