After almost one hundred hours played (I had the game on Steam allready) I just discovered that you can disable permadeath by searching in the Game Options, Debug section and Disable Permadeath.

This is a bit hawkward for me because I've rated 4/5 stars because of this particular aspect of the game...

Caves of Qud is a total must buy.

You guys rock !

N.B: Believe me or not on my first journey to the Sixth Day Silth, I've found a Water Weep right in the market area...
I will go buy a lottery ticket today.

No permadeath? You don't play many roguelikes, do you? :)
What happens upon death, when you disable permadeath?
You loose everything. You can save your character build prior starting the game even note somewhere your world seed but nothing else can be saved of your progress.

Deadjack, aratuk asked what happens when you *Disable* permadeath.

And to answer your question aratuk, you seem to reload at your last "save and quit", or if you've enabled the option to add save and load commands, (which are mapped to f5 and f9, respectively) you will can reload from your last save that way too.

Edit: and in case you didn't know, both of those options are located in the debug section of the options menu.
