Now for the second time in a week, my savegames were erased and I lost almost all progress. It's a shame, because I totally loved the game.

I just don't know, whether it was a game bug or a bug in galaxy cloud saving. What a shame :(

[Disclaimer to anyone reading my post: If you do not feel comfortable fiddling with game files on your computer, then please don't do it! This solution worked for me, but that does not make me a tech support guy. ;) The prefered solution is to always contact GOG's support team for assistance with your problematic games. Otherwise, proceed at your own risk!]

Same problem here. Tried playing Carrion tonight, but there were no more game saves in the load menu! All disappeared! But I managed do to some digging around and found a possible solution...

I'm running Windows 7. Hopefully this will work on Windows 10 too. Make sure your Windows 7 is displaying hidden system files or you won't be able to see the AppData folder.

1. I located Carrion's game saves in the following directory:

C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\LocalLow\Phobia\Carrion\saves
(on my computer %UserName% = User)

2. I selected all the files in that Saves folder (backup_0.crn, checkpoint_0.crn, save_0.crn, etc.) and COPIED them.

3. Inside the Carrion folder, I noticed a folder called "_gog_1915xxxxxxxxxxxxx". I opened it and stumbled upon yet another folder called Saves. And it's in this folder that I PASTED the files I had copied in step #2.

When I relaunched Carrion, all of my old game saves and checkpoints appeared in the game's menu again! Yay! :)

Hope this works for you too!

Thank you for your post, I actually ended up in finding the exact same solution you just described. So I was able to complete my playthrough. Great Game!!!

That problem with the saves appeared 3 times in total during my playthrough. Strange thing: every time I had save problems, also galaxy achievements did not fire up...
