So, I wanted to backup my progress in the game recently and I just can't find my save file.

There are 10 save files in ...\Carmageddon\CARMA\DATA\SAVEGAME but none of them is the one I use, because even when I remove them from the folder I can still load my game, so it must be somewhere else.

BTW, I'm playing it with the Windows 95 patch.

I have the same question, when I uninstall my game and click 'yes' on the dialog box asking if I want to keep my saves, I still lose everything and have to restart the game from scratch.

I really would like to know where the exact save profiles are stored, so that I can backup them.

Your info about save file location helped me. My Save file at the location ...\Carmageddon\CARMA\DATA\SAVEGAME was modified when I last saved.

My guess would be that the Windows 95 patch is modifying the save file location.
