So there's a very cool feature before you start the game called "graphic mode setup" which works great for the original version of the game.

Now when I try to run the "hardware mode" of the game, the gamma looks very very low, to the point that Its not really playable and "graphic mode setup" works only for the original version of the game. How about a "graphic mode setup' for the "hardware mode" of the game???

how do I fix the Gamma in Hardware mode????
Have you tried different graphic mode settings? Also possibly try different resolutions in advanced section.

Yes I've tried every single one of them, however the resolution is not affected in game, as opposed in "hardware mode" the resolution is higher.

also have tried other resolutions, but same as before, it doesnt matter what resolution you choose, the game still renders the same pixels, you're only changing the screen size but the resolution stays the same.

do you know how to change the gamma of the game??? thats what prevents me to play at the moment in "hardware mode"

GOG's release uses the nGlide 3DFX wrapper (version 0.99). Here is a link to the setup from the author's site. Download and extract the contents of the setup with an archive utility like 7zip. Copy the file nglide_config.exe to the "\Carmageddon\Carma\" folder that also contains the file glide2x.dll. Do the same in the "\Carmageddon\Carsplat\" folder. Try the gamma settings in the launcher.

Thank you HampsterStyle. I had the same issue, and your solution worked for me.

In fact, using the nGlide config to set the gamma lower than the default also helped bring the gamma up.
