mikrix1: in my case it pops out the error message "Can't find executable", the one with white X on the red circle
Inicus: I'm also getting this problem. Please let me know if there is a solution.
Edit:
Was able to get it to work following some of the advice on this other thread, which were clear as mud:
https://www.gog.com/forum/carmageddon_series/carmageddon_2_no_music_under_windows_10 This is what I did and it worked (I am running Windows 10):
Change the name of “CARMA2_HW.EXE” to “CARMA2_HW0.EXE”
Right next to it (in the main Carmageddon 2 executable folder) create a shortcut to launch cmd.exe (usually found in C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe), and name the shortcut “CARMA2_HW.EXE”, so that GOG will launch cmd.exe instead of the original Carmageddon 2 exe.
Then in GOG Galaxy, for Carmageddon 2, add a new linked executable and select the shortcut to cmd.exe you just created, which is called "CARMA2_HW.EXE".
Now, add to the custom executable link the following arguments:
/c "<path-to-game>\Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse Now\CARMA2_HW0.EXE"
This will get the game to run the original executable, but in a roundabout way. I have no idea why this works.
I also installed nGlide as recommended on PCGamingWiki.com for Carmageddon 2.
I couldn't get this exactly to work, Galaxy simply lost track of the game and assumed it was not installed. But starting CARMA2_HW.EXE directly from cmd.exe did indeed work to make the game run with music. Weird!
