Gaffateip: Yeah, we really need Carma 2! Love splitting cars in half.
...or wrap them around a pole :D
I would pay $20 dollars for this game. Lets not have this thread die!
Can't wait to have C2. I will have to take a day off to enjoy it fully.

With Warcraft 2, it's the game on which I spent the most time, thousands of hours. I think its physics engine remains unequalled. :D
The requests for the quake series make no sense. Quake is still available through multiple sources. Id software, amazon, steam, ebay, etc. Maybe even xbox live. Sure, it would be nice to have a gog version, but that's not necessary considering that id games don't have drm. Not to mention that you're vastly better off copying the pak files into a port like darkplaces or beserker, which also support mp3 or ogg soundtracks.

Keep an eye out for steam sales, since that's where you can usually find the best deals.

Count me in for that as well. I never got around to playing Carmageddon 2... and I just got Carma 1 so don't do it for awhile, please. ;)
If it pops up in the shop, I'd like to see a switch to activate the censored versions like its possible with the DOS-versions of the Splat Pack for nostalgias sake and other possible reasons.
(Censored versions had either Zombies or Aliens for the peds)
Carmageddon 2 was one of the first PC games I ever had (along with Warhammer 40k Final Liberation and Age Of Empires 2) and Carma 2 was easily my most played game for a few years.

Carma 2 is an instant buy for me if it pops up here on GOG.

What's the chances of it happening though? Realistically I mean.

Rather realistic I would say, we already have Carmageddon 1 and Carmageddon 2 is not that hard to get working with glidewrappers.
I can't say when however, maybe somewhere before Reincarnation is released to get people excited.
Now that would be lovely timing, Carmageddon overload!

Yeah, nGlide works pretty well with this. Initially I had some mouse issues, but running carma2_HW.exe in 640 x 480 fixed that. There are some polygonal glitches that can be irritating, but I wouldn't say anything too major.

That being said, I'm not sure I'd pay more than 5.99 for this game. What I've been playing is somewhat fun - mainly the splattering of people and animals - but the cars handle like ass and the camera twitches nervously around. Also, is the game suppose to have music? I haven't been getting any.

Yes the game should have music, they're normal CD tracks you should be able to play them in mediaplayer.

Ah yes, the mouse issues. Would this be where the mouse is stuck in a 640x480 window regardless of the resolution you run the game in, so that you can get stuck unable to click okay to get out of menu screens? If so, then there is a solution to that. It is the Carmageddon 2 Super Patch v2.0. It says it is for the UK Blood version of the game, but it might work on other regional versions.

http://www.moddb.com/games/carmageddon-ii-carpocalypse-now/downloads/super-patch-v2

From the read me, it fixes:

: - The mouse cursor being stuck in a box unless a resolution of 640x480 is chosen before starting the game

: - Force Feedback is a lot better. Tested on the Microsoft Force feedback wheel and joystick. The force feedback does not work on the Logitech Force feedback wheel, although the wheel can still be used normally.

: - You now get a yes/no option upon quitting the game.

: - CD Track pause from audio should be improved / fixed

: - QuickTime should save 1st time

: - Network changes + fixes.

: - General bug fixes.

I installed one of those patches, but then I kept getting the message, "Not compatible with Windows NT" or something like that. I can play the game right now; the only problems (aside from some frustration in-game with car handling and driving in water) are the lack of in-game music and some graphical glitches.

I have the in-game music problem too, but I found a workaround for that. Get the tracks from the CD into files (MP3s or whatever your preferred format is) and then play them in a media player which you leave running in the background, and then start up the game. It works for me, but of course it isn't the way it was intended at all.
Carmageddon 2 would be high on my list!
Anyone know if/when this could happen?
