The 3Dfx logo and then ... nothing. Anyone? Already tried futzing with the nGlide configurator to no avail.

I have been getting more and more problems with recent 'old' GOG releases recently, relying heavily on the community to fix things. Come on guys, step it up!

W7x64, nVidia GTX 285, latest whql driver, support request on the way.

Hey there :)

I know it's a pain in the neck getting technical issues right off the bat, but if you write to us via the Support link for the game and provide us with a DxDaig and all the info relevant to the problem, we'll get you driving in no time :)

Thanks, support request & dxdiag already sent! Fingers crossed, was really looking forward to this one!

Thanks and I hope this is easily solved :)
Woohoo, problem solved thanks to GOG support!

For posterity and the unlikely event that you might be experiencing the same issue, here is what fixed it for me: I have a USB flightstick with a 'mode' switch (like a shift key), which in Windows reads as one button always being pressed down. Carmageddon 2 does not like this and hangs right on start because of it. Unplug or disable the device and Carma works like a charm!
